Haven't they been handing out big extensions already? Cody, Bayley, and Charlotte got the đ° recently and I imagine more folks will get theirs as well They aren't going to do it for everyone though, they may have the ones they view as worth it circled to pay. Mizâs babyface turn and positive crowd reactions to it came at the exact right time for him, it seems.

Basically, any place that doesnât already have a TV/Network deal in place will likely be able to access stuff on Netflix. Itâs not as big a list with places like France and Germany signing deals last year but it has the potential to be a substantial amount in the next while. I see. It sounded from the wording that the Network was being wound up in the UK for example as the suggestion was SD/NXT and PLEs are to be on Netflix as well. Thereâs a lot of questions that need to be answered that likely wonât right now because of the victory lap but some of it is drawing the dots (BT/TNT Sports signed the UK and Ireland WWE deal in 2019, which means they arenât renewing it when it expires, for example)

Yeah I can't say I'm thrilled. I haven't had an account in years and not willing to just buy in again for WWE. Its a shame but I'll follow on Smackdown, NXT and YouTube. Not a major loss though because Raw hasn't been an easy watch for me between time, work, and just concentration in years. I dozed off an hour into last night from being up since 4:30am for work. Good for WWE though, they are understanding how this game is played and its gonna make money. The long term? Who knows, the industry is radically different looking than 5 years ago and here we thought the Fox deal was major, these three are next level, and we are a far cry from the days of Spike TV. Will say, the thing that struck down the Fox deal was basically being sold a bill of goods and not getting what they were promised. The difference is that USA knows what WWE content gives them, CWâs looking for anything and Netflix probably knows that people will either watch WWE live or on demand and if some of the Network/PLE content comes over first day internationally, thereâs a reason for people to keep using it. The worst part is I could have told Fox they weren't going to get that. It was absurd to even think they would. The business may have had a shot at popularity but it wasn't like that.

So yeah does appear all of those contracts are up or being bought out.

The irony of this Netflix deal, what with me seeing so many people across the web saying they wonât be watching Raw anymore cause of lack of Netflix is Iâll finally start watching Raw again for the first time in like, almost 2 decades, because I havenât had TV access to Raw since like 2005. Since then Iâve only been keeping up via clips and online discussion(and you know, attending Raw itself).

Sky, who were WWE's partner for years, offer Netflix as part of their subscription service. So in a roundabout way, WWE is returning to Sky*
*If you have the Netflix package
Also worth noting the BBC story about this floats the idea that the lower level Netflix tiers, the ad supported SD tiers, may not get the WWE content and they have reached out for confirmation.

Haven't they been handing out big extensions already? Cody, Bayley, and Charlotte got the đ° recently and I imagine more folks will get theirs as well Even with those extensions, calling them big feels sort of generous with some of the numbers floating around. Like, Charlotte being paid the same yearly as a second string quarterback in the NFL and it being called the biggest for a womenâs wrestler feels like something that shouldnât be the case with the money floating around now. If you want to take a look at the difference in profit margins of the NFL vs. WWE, Iâm sure it would look a lot more comparable. They wouldnât be profitable if their top guys were getting NFL star QB money

So this is pretty much the beginning of the end for WWE Network in the UK?
I suppose it shouldn't be that big of a surprise really, when it left for Peacock in the states I guess it was only a matter of time till the same happened in the UK.
In a way this is good for me as someone who has both Netflix and WWE Network as it means I would only have to pay for one. ;D

Nah. I guess I'll have to have Netflix monthly again rather than only having it for a few months at a time.

Which means NXT will need to move to a different date. Obviously Wednesday is an option but if I'm the CW, I would push back against putting your new show in a timeslot where their viewership is going to be artificially deflated by Dynamite. Thursday or Friday would make more sense from that perspective.
