Well I'll never get to see RAW again. Anyone else just maxxed out on streaming services they can afford?

Sounds like Smackdown will begin airing on Tuesdays in October Sapp seems to be disputing that.

I don't see any downside to these deals for WWE other then personally I don't have Netflix and I don't plan on getting it so I'll be watching RAW... Other ways, probably lol Do not even go there. same goes for everyone else.

Smackdown does decent numbers on a Friday, which is a death slot for anything else. I'd leave it there.
3 hour Smackdown is coming though, given the move to 3 hour Raw was the USA Network.

Thursday would probably be my ideal day for Smackdown.
I like Raw and Smackdown being spaced out and not one day after another. Although the benefit to that is less wait time after PPVs. Nothing beats when you were a kid and something exciting happened to close a PPV and you knew it was less than 24 hours until Raw to see the follow up. It's not quite the same waiting days and days. Although if something big Smackdown related happens on PPV they don't seem to have had trouble keeping people invested for almost a whole week and they still usually do a big number the next Friday.

This is funny because I have the "it's like Netflix, but... better" sales pitch for original WWE Network in 2014 burned into my brain.

2014, WWE created the WWE Network.
2024, Netflix shows WWE content.

If I were to get it, I would be spending about 3x more than I did with the original WWE network which included PPV's. I have to imagine, the WWE will give Netflix SOME sort of PLE's.

Well I'll never get to see RAW again. Anyone else just maxxed out on streaming services they can afford? I'm more just reaching the end of my tolerance to chase these properties across the fragmented television landscape. Truth is, most nights I just want something on the TV from 7:30 to 10 to unwind after my kids go to sleep. As they keep moving these properties around, it's become apparent to me that I don't really care that much what it is. If you yoink Raw away and move it behind some paywall, I'm fine just watching an old movie, or a hockey game, or something else to watch that I do have access to. Outside of Packers football games, the rest I can live without. Anything truly can't-miss will end up on social media anyways. Or it won't and life will go on.

It was announced a few seconds ago, that if you get the Netflix ad tier, RAW will still work around ads, but will still have some content during ad breaks.
I honestly don't think this will bring the audience Netflix expects. Most people on here (the hardcores of the market) don't even like watching 3 hours of RAW when its on free TV.

They did well enough on Tuesdays before so I get it. Pair it up with a new season of Chucky and it should work out well to be honest.

I honestly don't think this will bring the audience Netflix expects. Most people on here (the hardcores of the market) don't even like watching 3 hours of RAW when its on free TV. The first thing to remember is that it wasn't on Free TV, it was on Cable which you have to get a certain package for. The other being that this deal basically makes Raw easier to access for a lot of people where it's being walled up by paid subscriptions like Canada, UK and Ireland etc because you only need one subscription; Netflix. And even with how numbers have been dropping, Netflix is dominating the market by about 100m to its closest competitor (Disney+, for the record) so more than likely, you're a rock's throw away from someone with a Netflix subscription. And if the Network content ends up on Netflix, you're basically paying for not just WWE but the HBO/Warner Bros deals, the first airing of Sony movies like Across The Spider-Verse, the A24 deal etc. A lot of that stuff isn't showing up in many other places internationally so you're giving people a reason to watch later without making them feel like you're missing the first airing of stuff. Essentially, the deals Netflix are making are taking advantage of other slowdowns in the market but also giving itself a cushion in case stuff does bottom out by having stuff prepared for people to stick around with.

WWE and Stranger Things WWE and Cobra Kai WWE and Squid Games

Depending on where NXT goes that's pretty huge for AEW, that frees up Friday I figure Rampage will stay where it is if Warner likes how it does in that slot, but it might move up, more likely scenario is that Collision could move to Friday at 8.

This was actually me trying to make a Netflix password sharing joke but I think they cracked down on that or at least were attempting to. Gone are the days where they themselves used to encourage that lol

The tweet says the deal "starts" October 1. That doesn't necessarily mean that's the premiere date. The tweet SRS is responding to got deleted after he corrected them.
