Depending on where NXT goes that's pretty huge for AEW, that frees up Friday I figure Rampage will stay where it is if Warner likes how it does in that slot, but it might move up, more likely scenario is that Collision could move to Friday at 8. The tweet says the deal "starts" October 1. That doesn't necessarily mean that's the premiere date. The tweet SRS is responding to got deleted after he corrected them. I mean for whenever they do leave the Friday timeslot

Is Riverdale still going? Judgment Day need to turn up and beat up Jughead. Puts on Fedora and gets thicker glassesUm, Actually, Riverdale was a WB production that Netflix acquired as an "Original" internationally and it mostly aired on CW so it would have been impossible to do any sort of show crossover without approval from Warner Bros bigwigs. As an aside, that weird period where Netflix would call anything an "Original" still bothers me. Just because you had The Good Place internationally does not mean it's your Original show, Netflix!

Well, for now. Since USA fully won’t have Raw, we’re basically waiting for the shoe to drop on the NBA deals and whether WBD is interested in keeping all it has or not. Yes but I think the worst case scenario was "WBD gets WWE and doesn't move forward with AEW" whereas the worst case scenario now seems to be WBD makes an offer that's lower than they would like. Also WWE going to Netflix keeps some of the other suitors they had in play if they are still interested in a wrestling product. Hell, Tony should be thanking the only Khan this industry is big enough for. Not only did it clear a path for AEW to negotiate with all those other suitors, but it also SUBSTANTIALLY increased the value of wrestling programming. Tony might get 50% above what he was hoping for thanks to Nick.

My wild guess is Netflix gets bought out by NBC Universal, Paramount or Disney during this 10 year deal, and RAW just ends up on one of those streaming.
While Netflix has made a recovery with their new tier subscription model, the market is simply too diluted to sustain all these services.

I kinda enjoy Raw most weeks, why couldn't it be Smackdown instead?! What am I going to do on Monday nights in 2025?

While Netflix has made a recovery with their new tier subscription model, the market is simply too diluted to sustain all these services. None of those companies could afford Netflix right now and I don't really see that changing even in the 10 years. A lot of ships have to be righted in Disney and Paramount especially and the look of it wouldn't be great. NBC Universal getting WBD would honestly be more likely even if that would be as damaging, if not more. If anything, Netflix are going to benefit from the scraps of the other streamers since the subscriber base still dwarves everyone else by a considerable margin.

What's gonna happen with ratings and demographic discussions now!? It'll probably be filled with numbers without much context to us as viewers and with other numbers not seen by us but only by the channels and wrestling companies. So no change!

Yeah this certainly set a precedent. I bet by the mid 2030s we will be done with cable and all wrestling media will be on streaming services

So does mean raw might be 2 hours again? That would be a huge benefit. If Dunn's influence fades it might actually be watchable to me for the first time in over a decade.
It seems in the UK everything will be on Netflix from 2025.
Ugh there's too much wrestling to watch already. I expect the rumble and wm will be enough for me but if they do fix a few things and have enough money to honour contracts it's a slippery slope to a bit of nxt, the international ppvs, might as well watch s.slam...

I will say, one of the things that could be a misfire is that with this deal set up as it is, you've right away isolated a bunch of the audience that recently had countries sign TV deals or have some still ongoing like most of Europe, India, Australia etc. Along with that, I can't imagine the juggles that'll have to happen to have a Raw show on Netflix talk about a PLE on Peacock and shows on both the CW and USA. Which is a good benefit of not putting your eggs in one basket but it also makes your audience feel a bit left out, especially since the UK, Canada, Latin America and other places are getting the WWE Network on a streaming service they actually use.
It'll depend on when a lot of these deals expire but I can see that being a risk that is worth doing with the money they'll be getting from Netflix and the other broadcasters regardless.

What does this mean for the back catalog in Canada? Will it be on Netflix? Or just airing Raw?
