Personally think Netflix have overpaid (which isn’t WWE’s problem) given how many of the fanbase will already be subscribers. Perhaps they are looking at getting Asian or African subscription numbers up. Hollywood movies, anime and K-dramas might not interest those in the land of Bollywood but Indian punters will put their hands in their pockets for WWE.

Some of the best news I've heard in a long time. I can drop Peacock next year. WWE programming is literally all I watch on it. Are PLE's not staying on Peakcock for the time being? In the US, WWE's deal with Peacock is through 2026. So the PPVs aren't going anywhere.

Because I can understand that Raw will be the only thing available in the US and Raw + everything else being available outside there but if there is constant confusion about what deals are going and what that means for the otter content, there should be some further clarification. At least with Peacock, we knew that meant a plan was going to be in place for WWE Network owners to have their account transferred.

This Netflix deal is huge. This is some legit front page news. I like the fact that WWE has their three shows on three different platforms. NXT on network tv, Smackdown on cable tv, and Raw on streaming. And for those worried about Raw leaving cable, WWE for the most part has been on the cutting edge when it comes to the latest technology, whether it was streaming all of their premium shows starting ten years ago, or even going to pay per view in the first place back in the 1980s.

Has this been addressed?
WWE’s USA deal for RAW expires in October.
They go to Netflix in 2025.
So… where does RAW for those few months?
My guess is they could and will extend the USA deal, but it’d be cool if they went dark for a bit.

Probably just an extension with USA through the end of the year since at least for the time being they’ll still have a working relationship due to SmackDown anyway.

The problem with that is that there are a lot of TV deals with a lot of places not having stuff on Netflix in 2025 so it'd be weird to go dark for those viewers because of the ones being on Netflix.

So I wanted to try and write something from what I know and also what I'm seeing about WWE's various TV deals and how that'll affect the Netflix move. USA: Only Raw from 2025. Smackdown and NXT will be on USA and the CW respectively, Network originals and PLEs on Peacock until 2026. Canada: Raw, Smackdown, NXT, Network originals and PLEs from 2025. Rogers deal ending 2024, no specifics on when that'll end. UK: Same as Canada from 2025. TNT Sports deal ending in 2024. Latin America: Same as Canada and UK, FOX Sports partnership ending in 2024. Where it gets a bit more confusing is specifically where other deals are. For example, Germany signed an extension to the TV deal last year, one of the reasons Bash in Berlin is happening at the end of August, so that won't be a part of the Netflix deal and Sony Pictures India still has the TV and streaming rights to WWE having signed a new extension in 2020, which would in theory mean that the Netflix deal could involve them as early as 2026. Nick Khan basically alluded to as much on Pat McAfee's show but this is more me joining the dots on certain specifics.

Yesterday I was hopeful, but it's been confirmed raw is staying as 3 hrs so that didn't last long.
Possibly with ads? I don't really get the tiers, live vs replays, product placement etc but it doesn't sound promising.

They have content meant for a 2 hour movie stretched in one hour long 6 episode season. Of course RAW is going to stay 3 hours long, if not further.

Everyone had to just go sign up with Peacock, and that was it. There was no transfer of info. In fact, if you still have the same e-mail address and if you can remember your password, your WWE Network account can still be accessed as long as you are in a country where the Network is not geo-blocked.

Why did VKM dye his hair a color it's naturally never been? LMAO, you have to love the Rock's hustle. Gets announced today as part of the board and is immediately front and center. They still look like a league of supervillain and The Rock looking like Samoan Lex Luther doesnt help

Soom companies will have a schedule and you can only watch at will if you pay The Premium Deluxe Package

Streaming services are going to consolidate. I just do not see Paramount+ a standalone service year from now, much less 5 years from now.

I shudder to think how much Netflix is gonna cost when Raw debuts.
