Apologies if this has already been answered.
So will RAW and Mania etc etc be live on Netflix?
I have this suspicious feeling Netflix may jack the price up next year as well.

It depends on the country. In the United States, only Raw will be on Netflix. USA Network will have Smackdown, NXT will be on The CW, and the PLEs will continue to air on Peacock (the Peacock deal has 2 more years left on it). In most of the world, though, Netflix will air all of WWE's live broadcasts unless there's a deal in place that prevents it. For example, the PLEs air on Binge in Australia, so Netflix in Australia likely won't air them.

Cool cool, I'm in Canada with a Roku box and hate towards Rogers cable so I haven't seen much live wrestling in a while on TV. Netflix compatible with Roku so I'm good! I have this suspicious feeling Netflix may jack the price up next year as well. They'll do that anyway because Netflix increases their prices about every 30 seconds.

With NXT going to a broadcast network, I wonder if they'll put any bigger main roster stars on that brand. I dont mean a Corbin-level guy, i'm talking about the likes of someone like Miz, Bayley, or even Seth (once he loses his belt). It sounds unlikely, but CW likely wants some big names on there.

If they bring Bayley back to NXT, I wanna see an "NXT Retro" night where she comes out doing the hugger gimmick and Izzy is in the front row.

At the TKO conference call, they said they are still working on securing a home for WWE Raw after the USA Network deal ends on September 30 and before the deal with Netflix begins in January 2025.

So if they haven’t figured out a home for Raw yet for the rest of 2024, what does that mean for the other TV deals wrapping up later this year? As far as I’m aware, the TNT Sports one ends in June and the Rogers one ends around the same time the USA one does. It seems wild that it’s been over a month since the announcement and there’s no answer to anything from anyone.

My gut is that most networks are low balling them because it doesn't offer that much to anyone to get solid ratings for just two months. USA probably wouldn't mind keeping them around until the end of the year but they have no reason to keep paying WWE the same amount if no one else is shelling out case for a short term rental.

Yeah I’m guessing they’ll get less money for that 3 months than what they’re getting now.

Yeah, it has to be a deal that benefits that network too and, really, outside of getting a new show to go on there after Raw is gone, there’s nothing that makes sense for another provider to do. Like, the other possibility off the top of my head is have them on the Network/Peacock or YouTube depending on where you live but that just feels like flushing a bunch of money down a drain for a few months and as much as they’ll likely make it back, the shareholders might freak from the Q4 outcome of that.

Is it going to be like TNA/Impact normally is close to the end of the year where there's no new TV content for a while, aside from backstage segments where the wrestlers accept awards?

Maybe they could just do what TNA did and stream episodes on Twitch for a while.

Well they do have the network outside the US if needs be. It wouldn’t be perfect but the network might come in handy at the very end. As others have said they’ve booked themselves into a corner and any network will know this and drive a hard bargain.

That seems very non WWE when it comes to TV deals. Not recent history but one of their USA contracts was undercutted by them basically going “We can find somewhere else, WGN and others love us”, finding out that they actually didn’t and crawling back through the side flap door for a lesser deal. This obviously hasn’t happened since because it went from “USA Don’t really need you, we can undercut you” to “If you leave USA, we f***ing die” in the last decade and a bit.

Did I see you say that the TNT sports deal runs out in the summer ? Summer 2024———————-January 2025 a bit of a gap there to fill. Could they do what they did for NXT and air in on the WWE network ?

I went onto the Wikipedia page for raw(health warning etc) and it mentions that raw will move to Netflix in the UK, but then adds it’s unclear who will air raw in Ireland after TNT sports loses it’s rights. Surely it’s Netflix.
