You miss out on a title again and your answer is...Kristaps Porzingis? Porzingas is a good fit, he’s basically somebody to step in for Horford who’s practically ancient at this point. The Celtics really need a legit distributor though, I like D. White as a SG and I’m still way way done with Smart I don't see the fit. Porzingis often disappears for stretches which you don't need when Tatum already has a tendency to drop 40 or 15 in big games, he's known for being a soft big man, and they're adding a ton of money to a team that already has to likely pay Tatum and Brown max deals.

Lol both. What’s that going to run them? Hurter, Keegan, Davion, Salary Filler, and firsts? Fox / Monk / OG / Siakam / Sabonis seems nice but with a bench of uh …. Vezenkov?

Sounds about right in regards to a trade that big Good thing is they wouldn't be totally financially f***ed so they could sign some bench pieces. Maybe bring back DiVincenzo on the MLE

The deal ended up being better for Washington this go around. Tyus Jones the best backup PG in the league

It makes sense as the Celts love Al, but he's a little too old seeing as how this man was trying to put the clamps on Greg Oden as a JUNIOR seemingly 30 years ago at this point. Al and Porzingis have a lot of similarities. They both have range, they both are long boys who like to alter shots. But I think the issue is going to be that Horford is a much more versatile defender. He was still surprisingly good in space and a mountain to try and back down in the paint. Porzingis can block shots, but is not great guarding in space. Smart is gone now too. I hate that teams just feed the big contenders. Washington has funneled it's only decent players to two already big favorites to win it all next year and got back nothing, while Memphis takes Smart who is meh on offense and a bad actor on defense.

Losing Smart is a...choice.

I don't care what the contracts are. How do you get better than double the return for Marcus Smart than you do for Bradley Beal? The NBA is badly broken.

Good for Milwaukee. If they could trade every future first for Brandon Ingram, they'd be in biznass. Khris seems like he's gonna be like Eric Gordon where he's banged up every now and then. Just enough to where it's annoying. And with the way they rest Giannis and ask everything of Jrue, they need somebody to take part of that offensive load.

So if I'm reading that right, it's:
Celtics: Porzingis, the 25th pick in 2023, GSW's 2024 pick Grizzlies: Smart Wizards: Jones
If so, that's a much better trade for the Wizards, and a much harder pill to swallow for the Celtics. Getting KP in the original deal was a good move, but losing Smart is going to hurt them.
