I saw some rumblings that harden might be linked to the suns. Now it's truly down to the rockets and 76ers. Philly can't let him walk, but they'd be fools to give him a long term max deal Suns are going to need to be creative and if they get Harden they’ll need to get rid of Ayton and probably move some more money around. I don’t know how you essentially want to build a team that just scores, only one ball to go around

Upon further review. So it's basically Shamet for Beal because they will waive Paul. Holy crap this is brutally bad. Is it possible for a trade to be bad for both parties? Bradley Beal is clearly the best player in the trade, but how on earth does he fit in Phoenix alongside Devin Booker and Kevin Durant? They're all ball-dominant scorers. There's still one basketball on a court at a given time, right? So someone among those three is going to have to sacrifice a lot of scoring opportunities, and I'm intrigued to see if they'll end up happy about it. But Washington are also losers because they traded away a valuable asset in Beal and they best they could do was Landry Shamet and some draft fodder. How is it possible to screw things up that bad? Was the market for Beal really that non-existent? Because I have to imagine Milwaukee and Miami would've both given up significantly better packages than a bench piece and some meaningless second-round picks. The only way I could possibly say this worked for Washington is if Beal was dead-set on playing in Phoenix and refused to waive his no-trade clause for any other move.

He's played with both Wall and Westbrook, ball dominant guards and thrived. KD also doesn't need the ball. Booker showed he can play with a ball dominant like he did with CP3. They can make it work and it most likely be KD that sacrifices the touches Beal agent is Suns CEO son which the league should look into. But Washington said they would work with him for a trade and their scope was extremely limited due to his NTC. New regime wants to start from zero and get his 4 year $200M salary off the books

Beal’s HUGE contract and durability issues probably limited his destinations. He might give you a really good All Star season or he might miss 60 games. Can’t imagine many teams are willing to pay that max contract all things considered. 🤷🏻♂️

I don't foresee a great amount of interest in Green if he's seeking 25+ million. That's a large investment in an aged technical foul master that will get you triple singles, perform a lot of nut shots and face rakes... and likely foul up your locker-room with bullshit. Unless the organization is a dumpster fire.
So I guess he's getting a max contract from the Knicks or the Bobcats lol
If he's willing to take less he could be useful in a lot of places that need a off-the-bench vet. He's great on D and a good screen setter but I'm not convinced that the second he's not on the floor with Steph that he'll get called for more Illegal Screens. Maybe I'll get proven wrong, but I think he gets a lot of ref-benefit for setting screens for a shooting god.
Personally, I think his days of starting on a legit team are over. He could play for one, but not start. Maybe we'll find out if that 'Bron bullshit with him was legit.

There appears to be growing scuttlebutt that Zion will be traded Thursday/Friday. We'll find out soon enough.

The continued Bill Simmons is an idiot; he asked if Beal will make much of a difference over Shamet

The continued Bill Simmons is an idiot; he asked if Beal will make much of a difference over Shamet I think it's an honest question to ask if Beal is going to be an upgrade over what Chris Paul provided for the Suns. CP3 was the perfect facilitator for that team, quarterbacking the high screen and pick and roll to perfection. Now who is the offense going to be run through? Devin Booker? His best abilities are as a scorer. The same can be said for Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. In all honesty, Bradley Beal is going to have to swallow a lot of pride for this Suns experiment to work. He'll have to take on the role we saw out of Ray Allen after he was traded to the Celtics in 2007-08: more or less run a marathon every game coming off picks and screens to get open and hit jumpers when the ball gets to his hands. And in doing so, his per-game averages will probably take a hit. He'll have to go from 23 PPG on 17 shot attempts per game down to something like 16 PPG on 12 or so attempts per game. (Allen went from 26 PPG on 21 attempts per game to 17 PPG on 14 attempts per game).

He said Shamet not CP3 Also, the team by virtue of having another A plus scorer will have better fit than CP3 anyway. CP3 did not fit with this club as Booker got more ball handling duties and CP3 was reduced to a spot up shooter. Beal doesn't need the ball to be effective and neither does Durant. Both can cut and slash just as Booker can Durant imo will be the one taking less shots. He doesn't need 25 shots to put up 30, he can put up 16-18 shots a night and still be highly effective which is the big difference. All 3 men will average over 20PPG, just a matter of how many assist they will get Beal will be the one most likely getting the most shots a night, while Booker will be the one to have the ball most at least initially. It is going to take a while to find the best fit which I believe is Durant running point forward because he is a matchup nightmare and would open the court for everyone else

Boston news:
- Boston is looking into trading one of their Guards (White, Prichard, Brogdon, White) - Grant Williams is getting interest and teams would explore a sign and trade but he is expected to remain in Boston - Jaylen "No Left" Brown is expected to receive and most likely sign a Supermax deal with Boston this offseason

Seems a decent player and probably needs to play somewhere that’ll give him more than 10 mins a game during blowouts. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them try to move Brogdon either Even though I’m so beyond done with Marcus Smart

The fact that Draymond Green declining his player option was made official on Jordan Poole's birthday is incredible
