Amazingly, the Xbox controller survived. It's on the ocean floor, but it looks mostly intact. That's amazing considering it was a logitech controller when all this began. It's a Logitech Xbox controller with a Playstation Dual Shock-esque shell.
Obviously it isn't a Microsoft first party controller, but that's the Xbox color scheme for their buttons and it has the all the typical Xbox buttons. Likely a controller meant for the Xbox 360 because it still has the Back and Start buttons named, but Left and Right Bumpers instead of the little Black and White buttons found on the OG controller.

One little Russian coup and this story has already gone away.
The ride is too fast and I want to get off.

It's intended for PC, I don't believe it to be Xbox-compatible.

"Challenger, go at throttle up...." Don't even get me started on NASA's many screw ups. Apollo 1, Challenger, and Columbia, all completely avoidable if those in charge would have listened to people who actually knew what they were talking about. The same can be said about Boeing.

I can only find random Twitter posts, so I don't yet know if its photoshopped. It's a 'shop. People really underestimate just how much damage everything inside that sub would have sustained. Ever watch one of those hydraulic press videos?

I saw news of attempts to retrieve the wreckage and the deceased..
They should just leave it all there. Sorry if this is upsetting.. but it’s just wreckage and dead bodies.. leave them to the elements down there. There is a reason they leave most of corpses of climbers on Mount Everest… too much effort and too dangerous to retrieve.

There is a reason they leave most of corpses of climbers on Mount Everest… too much effort and too dangerous to retrieve. they're recovering the wreckage for the same reason plane wreckage is recovered, to see exactly what went wrong to prevent further tragedies like this happening again. It's unlikely they will recover much of those lost due to the pressure exerted in the implosion and scavengers on the sea bottom.

From everything I've read about this whole tragedy, it could have been prevented but nope, arrogance wins every time.
I know civil suits don't do much but this company should be taken to the f***ing cleaners, and maybe have some criminal charges added to them as well.

It's like a hydraulic piston, and aside from being smashed to shit it would have been burnt to a crisp while all the air ignited.

I'm waiting for the conspiracy theories. "Big Submarine took them out because they were doing things cheaper! Why would there have been a debris field? The shockwave detected must be from a torpedo! THey were about to discover that it wasn't an iceberg that sunk the Titanic! It was them!"
ETA: f*** me. I just did a search and that is _exactly_ what the crazies are saying. I don't know what is worse, that they came up with that, or that I just idly predicted it. I should have known, or at least googled _before_ posting.

I've already seen one person with a ton of crypto stuff in their bio...say they clearly faked their own deaths to escape... and then said like 3 different reasons why it was obvious...each even stupider and more insane than the last.

I'll take the stupid but otherwise harmless theories over the one being pushed by the ones crying "false flag" and "distraction."

'How can we take a current event caused by human vanity and stupidity and roll it into thinly disguised blood libel?'
Seriously, this nonsense is never more than five steps away from antisemitic conspiracy theories. The people doing this want to create a first step toward hating certain minorities so they will make up ways to tie everything into that, the question they always get around to asking is 'And who controls big X?' Where the answer they've pushed them towards is always antisemitism in disguise.
I hate it.

The same type of mindset that caused Titanic’s fate. That’s a little unfair towards White Star Lines. They didn’t skimp on the building materials and the ship carried far more lifeboats than legally required. There were mistakes made o that evening, but not because anyone cut any corners.

That was the oldest explanation for past wreckages.
