I think Cole wins the title at either All In or All Out. And I think he’s turning heel. MJF has to go face. He has to evolve. It’s time. But if he does does that mean that the talk of the bidding war of 2024 goes down slightly? I think it's becoming more and more clear that they're teasing Cole being the one to turn especially with Roddy saying "We're gonna see the real MJF and real Adam Cole" I don't want them to break up but I think you can build a very compelling angle like this... MJF clearly is afraid to open up and have real friends, hell he openly admitted it, and he's still got one eye behind his back that Cole is gonna betray him. But you have Cole turn and side with Roddy and the Kingdom. You basically break MJF and have him go away for a bit (again). Play up that this is why he never trusts anybody and really play this up as breaking him. Have Cole basically have his own goon squad and just have him go unhinged. You have MJF return and build towards him vs Cole 3 at either Revolution or DoN, but you also have the numbers get the best of him and show that Max being a scum bag has caused the rest of the roster to want nothing to do with him. Build him up as the true lone wolf. This is what I'm hoping for to some extent - MJF paying for his sins, and you can rework the 2024 thing into him thinking he needs to leave because he salted the earth in AEW through his own rotten history and needs to start over again somewhere else, only to have him realize the only way out is through, that he has to stay and make things right. This probably still requires him finding a REAL "real friend" (both for the thematic/character reason and also for backup) and I don't know who that is. Maybe Darby (we are, after all, sending MJF down the Crow Sting path here), maybe even Wardlow, who takes pity on Max after seeing him go through the emotional meat grinder and they team up as equals (Wardlow could sure use it, and it wouldn't even hurt to have his character acknowledge it) this time. |

The outcomes I can see as of rn:
-MJF wins and they hug it out, MJF vs. Punk next week
-MJF wins and Cole turns heel after, ending the stadium show on a downer note
-MJF wins via heel turn, their friendship was all a ruse
-Cole wins and they still manage to hug it out, their tension/friendship continues with the biggest wedge between them as Cole's taken Triple B from MJF
-Cole wins via heel turn (maybe Roddy involved, maybe not), ending the stadium show on a downer note
-Double countout, the match is restarted by the Rock who kills AEW's new computer anonymous GM
-MJF no shows, Cole lays down for CM Punk who cuts a shoot promo about the state of the company before Tony Khan comes out and calls CM Punk a bald headed son of a bitch
-The match is abruptly turned into a Concrete Crypt Match for some reason. MJF kills Cole because he realizes having allies is a weakness
-The show abruptly cuts to black before the 3 count, the match result is never revealed

I stopped watching wrestling a couple of months ago cause my interest just faded, then just a few weeks ago I finally caught up on this storyline and MJF singlehandedly pulled me back in. And he did it by making me care about Adam Cole of all people.

I think if they win the ROH Tag belts - which they likely will unless they can find a sensible way to book the main eventers jobbing - it's unlikely a turn will happen on the night. Still, I don't think a match has made me this nervous since the first Hell in a Cell.
