Glad they let this be the sign-off for the night and not rush into anything with MJF and Punk. Show deserved this feel-good ending.

They laid it on a little too thick for my tastes, but I enjoyed the match overall.

Still besties. And man it might feel like they are dragging this but people are invested so I get it. Roddy Strong is becoming hilarious in this storyline too.

Couldn’t see the show but they won the ROH tag titles? Did I miss that match being announced or was it an extra thing?

Glad they let this be the sign-off for the night and not rush into anything with MJF and Punk. Show deserved this feel-good ending. Probably wise with the current ‘situation’ to call an audible if anything Punk related was planned. There’s still plenty of legs in this story without that anyway.

It was really interesting that they made the main stakes of this angle "Will these two guys be friends after this? You hope so!" and then had them remain friends as the satisfying payoff. It was a really fresh way to do a big PPV main event I feel like.

I think what's really underrated is the story turned into Max really seeing Adam as his friend and at the end of the day he decided that the friendship he's developed with Adam was more important than doing whatever it took to win the title. Adam on the other hand is conflicted because he knows Max's reputation, his longstanding friend Roddy is getting left out and is pointing out what Max is, and Adam really wants to be the world champ. Adam was willing to do whatever to win the title, and in the end it wasn't enough, but so far even with all of that, he still has grown to care about Max.
I still think at the end of the day, the best thing for both MJF and Cole as a whole and for AEW to long term draw money is to have Cole be the one to turn on Max, really break him, and have Max becomes a true lone wolf because nobody else trusts him.
But man the moment the Brochachos break up people are gonna be hurt.
Also, is it just me, or has the 2 greatest angles so far in AEW's history been ones that really deal with mental health and emotions? You have this angle and you have Hangman's rise

Each of them having a moment to cheat and turning it down was such a good touch. Someone is going to turn at some point, but for now it's really nice how they've committed to showing there's some real friendship going on there, and now we likely see the storyline go on with them as tag champs for a bit longer before they fight again, and that's really, really beautiful.

You have this angle and you have Hangman's rise If they go through with Cole being the one who turns, there’s an interesting story they can tell with MJF realizing that being “The Devil”, while fun, may have alienated everyone from being his friend, and that he needs to grapple with that reality.

I do hope we don't tease each tag defense though as i feel like we are already starting to see the same set up spots

I'm glad they're still buds. The drama in that title match and after was amazing.

I think this is a sign of TK showing some flexibility to his booking that has been lacking in the past. I am convinced that the original plan was for one of them (probably MJF) to play a long con screwing the other over but he's heard the crowd noise and the online reaction and changed plans accordingly.

I do hope we don't tease each tag defense though as i feel like we are already starting to see the same set up spots Personally, I have a feeling that them losing the titles is gonna be the tipping point. Either Max has already lost the world title by then, and Cole just sees this as the last straw, or they lose the tag titles first, and Cole ultimately decides that being a champion IS more important to him than Max's friendship.
