Roddy having this kind of character work in him shows that sometimes a guy just needs to find something that works and it can be like striking gold
Dude was mocked for over a decade about not being able to cut a promo, so lean into the hokeyness and find a character fit and it's helping both him and The Kingdom a shit ton.

Yeah. Especially when you look at the start of the feud. Was pretty cold and fairly laughable idea that they would headline 80k in Wembley. Was this always the plan and they somehow knew it would work or did they chance on the fly as it went along. I think the plan was always to headline Wembley, since the first match ended in a tie and the tag tournament seemed like a way to keep both busy until they could do the build to the match itself, but the way it happened and the people's reaction to the team could not be planned at all? Like, I'm still surprised they didn't have either turn at the end of the tag title match never mind All In. The turn likely would’ve happened on the 7/29 Collision to set up the proper All In feud, but obviously, Better Than You BayBay caught fire and TK pivoted as a result. |
