Funnily enough, I only saw this movie a couple times growing up and I hated it.
I then revisited it a couple years ago and it's literally one of the best movies I've ever seen. Great performances all around, great pacing, funny, thrilling and just leaves you feeling good. And the ending is a layer cake of greatness.
The sequels are okay, but not on the same level. The lack of Crispin Glover and the overuse of MJF in other roles kept it from reaching another level. Nonetheless, one of two perfect trilogies, along with The Naked Gun
