Regardless of the stories behind the matches - TK always puts on killer PPVs. I'm sure it will be a great show.

That match by itself might convince me to get the PPV.

Really the only big question mark now is who faces Claudio for the belt
If Ibushi gets the deciding fall at Blood and Guts I'm assuming it's him.

There are so many great wrestlers in the orbit of AEW/ROH/NJPW that it would be difficult not to put on show full of good matches. You could throw darts at a list of available wrestlers and build a good card.

Often times it seems like as long as they aren't literally under active contract with WWE, TK might be able to have someone show up honestly haha

Claudio/Ibushi is absolutely the way to go to boost PPV sales/save the PPV. Its just a shame that you have a weekly show and you can't be bothered to build a world title feud on it. Even if had been Mark Briscoe/Claudio, that wasn't built on the show either save for a couple of hastily put together backstage promos. What's the hook in getting people to pay money for Honor Club to watch the show if the show doesn't matter and the matches on the show don't lead to anything, and when there is a PPV the card is just full of people who don't even appear on the weekly show?

I don’t really keep up with anything with this version of ROH but is this f’n true?!? Talk about not giving a solitary f*** about you’re own product. Seems like Vince gave more care to the entirety of WWECW than whatever the hell TK is doing with the ROH brand

I always felt Tony was caught off guard by WBD not wanting an ROH tv show. But I do think he was building some feuds for awhile... then Collision became a thing and that's when it became clear ROH lost more focus. Now granted things like Dante Martin getting hurt, and Eddie needing hernia surgery put a halt on major angles, but once Collision started people like Claudio, Eddie, and Joe went back to AEW mainly.
Just make ROH full on developmental at this point

I agree totally, it wasn't meant to be an endorsement of whatever they are trying to do with ROH. Ultimately, in 2023 the absolute bare minimum a wrestling card should be able to do is feature great wrestling. I think the whole thing is a waste of time and a bit of an insult to paying fans, but I'm not the target audience. It seems to have sold decently and the people who watch it I'm sure will enjoy it. I do think if TK had his time again he wouldn't have bought ROH.

I do wonder if he'd have planned things differently over the last year with ROH though

Yeah, I know people complain about how the shows are now (and really, I get it, I do and I hope those tweaks are made) but the alternative is them being hoovered up by the biggest company of the genre that's about to become part of a bigger conglomerate with a not insignificant chance it doesn't even go up because it's not seen as marketable to do anything with.
Even if Tony Khan handed the booking to an 84 year old Bill Watts, it'd still be better than the alternative.

Seems to mean Willow/Athena will headline which, considering the hand they've been dealt with Mark's injury, is the best step to go with.

Honestly, I say after the PPV they should probably do a reset with ROH. Get belts off Joe, Athena, Lucha Bros, Claudio, and Mogul Embassy. Get ROH exclusive guys the belts and have it be it's own thing.

Both Athena and Willow deserve the spot, especially considering it's a rubber match and both wrestlers have been slaying. As of this writing it is the only match announced that has any heat.

A "special" entrance? So coming out looking like she used mods to equip every accessory onto her CAW is her normal entrance?

Get ROH exclusive guys the belts and have it be it's own thing. Or... Let ROH rest in peace. In the last two years, the company has died twice. Once was Final Battle 2021 and the other, and I realize how morbid this sounds, was when Jay Briscoe died. AEW exists because of ROH. There is no need to carry on the ROH name. Use the tape library however you can, but Tony needs to stop pigeonholing AEW talent with a company that is no longer needed. When you have world-class talent like Claudio, Athena, Lucha Bros. etc, spinning their wheels, holding belts that dont mean as much as they once did, it is time to approach this realistically. I for one do not want ROH to be "developmental." AEW can, and should, create its own developmental system to build the next generation(s) of talent without using the Ring of Honor name or license. If Tony wants/needs to do a ROH tribute show/PPV once or twice a year to keep up with the ™, fine. I would bet money a once a year ROH show would garner more interest than keeping this company on life support for no plausible reason. Get the talent stuck there and move them up, or out. Ian Riccobani deserves better.

I don't think any talent are "Stuck there" either. The issue continues to be, to me, how it's distributed, and I really think if Tony can't get the show on TV or on a Warner streaming service, he should just put it on Youtube.

Sorry but just because some people don't like the current direction of the promotion, that doesn't mean that the fans who are still enjoying it and the talent being used should be punished.

AEW talent moves tickets for ROH PPVs. Show is dead because there is little to no life in the weekly show aired online exclusively that fans need to pay to watch, and "putting it on YouTube" is backwards progress. You might as well have kept Dark/Elevation.
