He and Ruby should form a team.
“Team Choke Artists” or something.

This time last year we were saying the same thing about Orange Cassidy, guy was over so on TV every week but got well beat whenever he had a big match. I think he's been unbeaten for nine months now? Unless he's lost in tag/non-title matches that I've missed.

I think him beating Wayne was the right call, and hopefully he beats Darby too. He should be above JTTS status.

I don't think so. He's a former champion and generally only loses to top stars like Darby and Orange. He's in a position where guys like Sammy and Jungle Boy were for a couple of years. Generally protected but hasn't broken through yet. I imagine Tony has a plan for when that is given he's not a top guy and still gets on TV more often than not. He hasn’t had a big singles win at all (think his biggest singles victory was beating someone like Wheeler Yuta last year) so hopefully he beats Darby this week.

He just won a main event match on Dynamite against a guy who had a ton of hype and video packages behind him. That matters even if it's a guy having his first match.

He and Ruby should form a team. “Team Choke Artists” or something. "The Choke Artist" would actually be a good gimmick/nickname for a Wrestler whose finisher involves choking people out. That doesn't really have anything to do with those two, but if Anna Jay were to resume her gimmick of sneaking up behind people and choking them that should be the name she runs with

Not a lot of cache in beating Wayne in his first match. Main event is also a loose term; didn’t they end the show with a segment revealing the mystery partners for B&G?

Beating a debuting new talent after they've been hyped for a few weeks does matter and the match ended at like 9;55, it was the main event match. Swerve also won a match to get the title shot against Orange Cassidy. He gets wins. He just hasn't broken through to the next level of booking protection.

He and Ruby should form a team. “Team Choke Artists” or something. Swerve has gotten one title shot in his run so far... he's not even close to that.

He should have a new gimmick where he keeps making bawdy comments to all the women wrestlers. Perv Strickland.

He needs to beat Darby this coming week on Dynamite. Since Darby is getting his TNT title shot regardless, theres no reason for him to win this and it would be a big win for Swerve.

Thank god he won this week, in a great match. Albeit with some interference but that's AEW heelz for ya
I also feel that with AR Fox, for the first time in his AEW heel run Swerve's with/leading someone who suits him and his character.

Honestly, one of the best things about Dynamite is the arcs that flowed across the episode. Darby promotes AR Fox and how much he respects him, AR Fox has what we thought was a moment of frustration until later on we find out it was all a plan and Fox teamed up with Swerve after all, probably going into their own history next week.

He and Ruby should form a team. “Team Choke Artists” or something. Swerve isn't in the same league as Bryan Danielson in terms of bottle jobs.

I think Prince Nana suits him incredible well tbh, his dance to Swerve's theme during entrances now is amazing lol

Getting vibes of Daniel Bryan in 2010-11 when his win/loss record was all over the place but getting 10-15 minutes each week to show off his stuff was getting him over more and more.

This feels like it happens quite a bit in AEW. People will have great W/L records so it gets overlooked but they lose any match that really matters. Ruby Soho and Taya Valkyrie spring to mind immediately. Plenty of wins against losses but they lose big matches.

Love hooking up Fox with Swerve, but man, can we get a read on the dynamic of Swerves stable? A promo? A segment, a vignette, something..?
