I genuinely thought this was a joke thread when I first saw it, but like some others here I'm 40 and clearly not with it. After reading the op I listened to a couple of songs linked in here and she's alright. I've seen her name pop up on playlists before but I couldn't tell you which of her songs I've ever heard beyond having just listened to Physical and the Barbie one. The songs seem well put together and more energetic than pop has been for a while. However, compared to the pop I'm used to, there doesn't seem to be a lot of energy. It works as background noise. I'm used to pop that, well pops.

And that barely scratches the surface and no disrespect to this artist but I aint seeing anyone outside of the most hardcore of her fans surely putting her in that discussion and even then I think her fans absoloutley know better.

I don't know about GOAT... but she is definitely a solid Pop act IMO. Her songs are catchy and that's what good Pop songs are.

She's certainly one of the biggest breakout stars of the decade thus far, but she's got a LONG way to go before any conversation of 'greatest of all time' comes up. She has a unique voice for sure, but does not (yet) have the accolades compared to those who have the ability to make that claim.
Until then, who cares? Enjoy her music for what it is, and hope she produces creatively the things you want to see from her. That's all that matters at the end of the day, really.

Greatest of ALL TIME? Hard no. I don't think Beyonce's the GOAT either, but I can say confidently that Dua Lipa is nowhere near Bey's level, musically or culturally.
She is far and ahead the biggest of the four Albanian pop stars currently in circulation, and that will have to do for now.
