Not sure if anyone pointed out and I wish I kept the tweet but from what someone found, the people who use ad blockers on a consistent basis take up 0.03% of YouTube’s overall userbase.
So all of this is trying to get 0.03% of potential overall yearly profits.

Still hasn't happened me and apparently, doing a Ctrl + F5 is enough to make it forget.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, YouTube can't do anything right. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just started happening to me, not sure if just Perú or all of LatAm. If you wait a while yoy can close the warning so it's ok for now.

Yeah, that lasted a few days for me, then I got the three videos warning. Now I don’t use YouTube. I’ll still check out Wrestling with Wregret each week, but mindlessly watching any video that seems interesting is done.

Got the three strikes warning today. After a bit of searching I found an extension that automatically skips the ads without blocking them. Let's see how long that lasts.

So far, nothing's happened to me with uBlock Origin.
How long that lasts is a mystery.

If they're going to do this bullshit they could at least have the decency to make sure it actually works instead of continuing to flag you even if you do have it whitelisted.

I've found a workaround - if you close and reopen the tab it doesn't pick up on it - but I shouldn't have to do that. Unfollow everyone and stop watching. It’s the only way to possibly stop it. But people won’t.

So trying stuff tonight, it seems like, disable AdBlock, choose your video, let it load, unpausing AdBlock, reloading and then watch is working.

Honestly I kind of suspect they're intentionally making the experience buggy and horrible to try and twist people's arms into paying for their shit overpriced subscription service that offers basically nothing other than the mild convenience of saving you 30 seconds here and there.

You're never going to stop ad blockers. YouTube banning one ad blocker momentarily only for them to update so they work again, rinse, repeat. From a consumer's point of view, stop making your ads so damn annoying and maybe more folks won't use ad blockers. Many still will, but that's how it goes.
That's not even just for YouTube either; ads are so unbelievably obnoxious on websites all over to the point it practically forces us to use ad blockers just so we can use the f***ing website in question.

Spotify kept sending me offers to get premium for a couple of months for free, so I went for it. At least I'll have easy access to ad-free music, especially during NaNoWriMo.

If the ads being obnoxious aren’t the problem, it’s ads that download unwanted spyware shit. It's the volume of them that bugs me. On an hour-long video I watched on my TV earlier I had: - Two unskippable ads before the video started
- One unskippable ad every five minutes
- One skippable ad added to every other unskippable ad
- One skippable ad when the video ended
That's 21 ads in a one-hour video. Plus a three-minute sponsorship pitch in the video itself.

Yes you can skip through them after 5 seconds, but who really wants to constantly go back to their computer while watching something when you're screen mirroring to your TV Google sucks

I looked up to see what the hold up was, and saw I was six minutes into a 19 minute ad. The video it had popped up in the middle of was only ten minutes long. And yes, the ad was for a ponzi scheme.

So far it hasn't affected me yet, but I've been guilty of not restarting this laptop for months and only suspending it and resuming and right now, it seems my ublock origin is allowing the first initial ad but no playback and after 5 seconds or so I get the skip ad button to click, then I can watch the rest of the video without issue.
Now on other computers, not sure what it will do. But one that I primarily use Firefox and power off and on all the time, no warning yet.

Happened to me all at once, but I have a VPN and chose a random country and it seems to have done the trick.

One day out of the blue Google are just going to start putting ads in Youtube Premium videos aren't they?
And then offer an additional YT Premium Ad Free tier for double the price.
