Fandango. All the false starts of his debut culminating with him finally beating Chris Jericho…at Wrestlemania. The very next night, he was turned into a novelty act, known for fans singing along to his theme. Before this, he was Johnny Curtis, who did weeks of visual puns backstage, before being annihilated by Mark Henry. I believe had he not gotten injured, he was gonna become IC champ the night Curtis Axel won it.

Does that count since it was only one vignette that was pretty quickly swept under the rug?

I'm actually really sad about this one tbh lol ![](https://www.wrestling-news.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Bo-Dallas.jpg) I feel like if they just kept on doing what he was in NXT he would have had way more of a ceiling... guess as it stands he had a solid undercard career and may or may have not been Uncle Howdy lmfao

Good vignettes, they really milked them though.

Glacier has to be *the* answer. Months of hype, and it basically Shockmastered. I was watching old Nitros a while ago, and noticed something that really surprised me: Glacier was over. He wasn't a huge flop. The problem was, he existed in a pocket dimension where he and Miller fought their own specially designed heels in Wrath and Mortis, and they had no plan for anything beyond that, and all three of the other guys involved captured the interest of the bookers more than Glacier himself did. (Sure, in Wrath's case, it was just to cut him off at the knees so he didn't threaten Nash's spot, but that's notice.) I mean, he kinda still even counts for this topic, despite his lack of a belly flop, because those promos went on for SO LONG they were a joke months before he actually debuted. The way I remember it is that the crowd didn't exactly boo him out of the building. There were some cheers, but most sat there in bewildered silence, watching him do his karate poses and "wrestle" under that spotlight as if they weren't sure it was part of the wrestling show or like when the mascot comes out and does somersault slam dunks during halftime. My personal reaction was more like, "Really? This is what they've been hyping for months?" I went from very curious to completely uninterested after just his first appearance.

Who knows? They'd probably be face when Hansen inevitably beat the crap out of them. Hadnt Hansen gone back to Japan by the time they came in? Hansen said that he didn’t want to be involved with something as stupid and idiotic as the Desperados. Smart guy.
