I call bullshit on the complainants statement - "I was innocently driving along at the speed limit listening to the bible on cassette when this maniac came along and threatened me for no reason" Clearly something went down, but for Wheeler to single this guy out for absolutely no reason does not sound plausible. Wheeler is a douche for whatever his real truthful involvement was in the incident, but with no evidence and a bullshit statement as the only thing to go on, the prosecutors had no chance.

So what you're saying is Cash won't be getting 900 years in prison like I've been hoping!

I hope that the people earlier in this thread who wanted him fired and decided he was guilty as charged will now retract….

Wheeler is a douche for whatever his real truthful involvement was in the incident, but with no evidence and a bullshit statement as the only thing to go on, the prosecutors had no chance. Yeah I get wanting to paint yourself as the one completely innocent but unless Cash had literally just lost his f***ing mind, no way is he flashing an apparent gun at you for literally no reason. Like, yeah, maybe Cash did just in fact lose his mind, but there's no way to prove it other then what is now a he said she said And regardless, Cash's reputation is now gonna have this hanging over his head forever, which, now without any tangible knowledge of what really went down, how, and why... definitely does suck. I'm not absolving Cash either, but given how this has gone, the amount of people who were both really wanting Cash to be fired, or are seemingly saddened "The tag team they don't like will keep being on TV", are posts that feel like they haven't aged the best way... and I was calling for some suspension or for him to be taken off TV as well until they figured this out but... well, this is the end of the road outside of Cash being a meme and the hope that he never gets into another incident like this again.

I hope that the people earlier in this thread who wanted him fired and decided he was guilty as charged will now retract…. You know that won't happen. We live in a world of rushing to judgement and condemnation before facts are all in. And a lot of people that do that just move on to the next outrage and pretend the previous outrage never happened. Obvious I'm using hyperbole there, but you must admit, it's not far off.

Again It happened in Florida which is the least surprising part. Something about driving down here does weird things to people.
Between the tourists, the oblivious drivers in the phone, the Seniors and the mix of drivers from all over you get situations like this.

I erred on the side of caution myself and didn't speculate, but I also was under the impression there was way more evidence than "this other guy said it happened". Knowing that's all they had, I'm surprised it even went this far.

I retract. Got blinded by how much I dislike FTR and didn't read the news thoroughly. Happy to eat my words.

Don’t worry folks, I’ve already written amended lyrics for All In this year “Doo doo doo doo doo doo Wheeler likely had a gun but the prosecution didn’t feel like they had enough evidence to secure a conviction and couldn’t prove what happened, didn’t feel like they had enough evidence to secure a conviction and couldn’t prove what happened, Wheeler likely had a gun but the prosecution didn’t feel like they had enough evidence to secure a conviction and couldn’t prove what happened“
Rolls off the tongue really

Knowing that's all they had, I'm surprised it even went this far. In all seriousness, yeah, that’s what I expected too. Like someone had a camera phone on him or there was a CCTV or traffic camera that caught something and the fact none of that really came out and the person in question didn’t want to go to court to talk about it, even if it did happen (and I can absolutely believe it did), yeah, it was doomed to be dropped at some point.

I mean, I'm not retracting anything because I still firmly believe that not bothering to give the company a heads-up about it should still itself be a firable offense.

I hope that the people earlier in this thread who wanted him fired and decided he was guilty as charged will now retract…. There's gotta be on in every thread, huh? Some people may retract, most won't. Fact is, even if the incident isn't as serious as initially believed, a road rage incident of some kind happened and he apparently worked and travelled for almost a month with an active warrant. It's not unreasonable to feel that just based on that, that some sort of punishment, possibly being fired, was deserved.

Idk, the police don’t call you up and tell you that a warrant is out on you, that’s not how it works. He might not have known until later on. So firing him for that would have been very unreasonable. Charges are dropped. Bunch of people here judged and covicted him here and passed down their criminal expertise and were wrong. It’s pretty simple, no need to still look for a reason to criminalize the guy.

Probably a bit of an overreaction given how this has all panned out….

There’s a high bar for a criminal conviction and if the witness/victim no longer wanted to testify/cooperate then there’s not much else that can be done.
