The worst part of Christian's reign has been the parts where Luchasaurus fights on his behalf so I'm happy to see him now rightfully champion.

Luchasaurus turning on CC would be goofy shit. Guy has zero potential That's simply not true, the crowd has proven to love him and the act. If he did a Batista like turn, the crowd would go nuts for it They were literally chanting "IT'S YOUR BELT!" during the moment in the match... there's plenty there for a turn that the crowd will care about when it happens.

Maybe he'll form the new three musketeers with Alex Riley and Mizdow.

Was with Express, was in singles matches when he was a face, and got a very loud reaction when he grabbed the TNT belt and a "IT'S YOUR BELT!" chant when Christian confronted him If you feel like there's literally no potential to be had here or with Luchasaurus, you are blatantly ignoring what's been happening on the shows. He has never been a guy or a gimmick with zero potential, and him turning on Christian would be a moment that gets a pop. He never has to be a world champion either and that's not what I'm aiming he'd be, he's just an act that has always had a tangible live crowd connection, and that's something you want anywhere on a card. Comparing him to Mizdow and especially Riley is disingenuous as hell, Luchasaurus has been in the company over four years now as both a face and a heel, he's been successful at both with tag belts and the TNT Title to show for it. He's already far and above proven ahead of those metrics lol

I don’t exactly see Luchasaurus as a breakout mega star ready to happen or whatever, but he’s a solid midcard act that can do both face and heel pretty well and has succeeded at both. I’m sure he’ll get a huge pop when he finally turns on Christian and be able to ride that for awhile and while it may or may not really elevate him in the long run he’ll still probably function perfectly well as a reliable upper midcard hand. Plus there’s probably good money in an eventual Jurassic Express reunion tour someday.
I’d say he’s a lot less of a Mizdow or a Riley than he is a Dolph and that’s a fine place to be.

Because dude’s a consistently high level performer, and has never had a moment in AEW where he wasn’t over. True he’s mainly been paired with others but there’s nothing to suggest he doesn’t have potential as a singles star.

People gotta seek out the latest Botchamania and see the Christian themed endings, almost doubled me over on my chair, absolutely brilliant stuff.

Unfortunately isn’t the PPV in Darby’s hometown? Tony likes the hometown talent winning so I fear Christian’s reign will be a short one.

That Mizdow comparison is odd to me. I only watched casually at the time but he was genuinely ultra over and people really wanted him to do something, WWE chose to do the stupidest shit possible instead. If they'd have actually had him do something while he was over they'd have got a great moment out of it at the bare minimum.
AEW have a big moment there with Luchasaurus turning on Christian, you could feel the crowd getting behind him the other night, and if they don't do it what's the alternative? Have him be his henchman forever? It's not like Christian particularly needs him. The moment they were paired together and Luchasaurus was portrayed as someone just doing Christian's bidding it should have always been the plan for him to eventually snap and turn back face. Everything about Christian effectively stealing his title twice over, once by never letting him touch it and the second time by physically pinning him and taking it, indicates he should turn on him and he's always been pretty over with the crowds. I have no idea why anyone wouldn't think that's not the way they should go tbh.
Luchasaurus might not have superstar potential or anything but the roster is made up of lots of guys with different ceilings, doesn't mean you should turn down potential big moments and try to do interesting things with them, and I think they've built this particularly storyline really well. I like that he's totally stopped all his high flying while being a heel, that sort of thing will go down well with crowds when he brings it back as a face.

Luchasaurus has gotten much further along in his career compared to when he still looked like Giant Seth Rollins.

the only way I want to see Edge debut in AEW is if he shows up to talk shit about Christian's dad.

🫡 I have always loved that TNT and TBS acknowledge their respective champions in their bios. EDIT: And then I look it up and TBS isn't doing it. THE BETRAYAL! *throws a shoe at TBS*
