I dunno if Rhea is gonna defend the title at the event, considering she has a match against Raquel next week on RAW, and I assume they are done with that feud afterwards, because it's been a very cold feud.
Iyo will likely defend her title, probably against either Shotzi or Charlotte. Leaning towards Charlotte since she is unwilling to be outside of the title picture for any real length of time.

This is the one I don't think Seth's making it past whether that means a brief Nakamura reign or a Priest cash-in.
Not sure how likely it is but I'm hoping Cody is the guy who gets traded to Smackdown for Jey and Cody/Cena happens here. There might never be another opportunity to do it and it's not a match that needs months of build. Just a basic face/face respect match.
The pattern for B PPVs seems to be one men's world title and one women's world title defended so with Rhea defending at Payback and again on Raw next week IYO will surely defend her title here.

Hopefully WWE resists the urge to have Charlotte win if she is the challenger, but I am not so sure. Also I don't think Priest will be successful with his cash in either, especially if he is still tag champ at the time.

I think we get Gunther vs. Gable IV here, with Big Gun Gunther finally losing here.

An Iyo defense seems likely, but I'm also not ruling out a blow-off stipulation match of some kind for Rhea/Raquel if the title match next week ends in shenanigans.

While I wouldn't be SURPRISED if they do a Rhea/Raquel blowoff match at Fastlane, it would be an incredibly stupid decision as Raquel just isn't over at all. I figure Raquel loses in some shape or form next week (even if its dirty) and then moves on anyways because the Rhea/Raquel feud has absolutely no heat at all.

With a Saudi show and Survivor Series after it this is really the last PPV of the year that has the chance to actually particularly feel like it matters, but I'm guessing it's going to be relatively throwaway.

It’s annoying they don’t do custom sets anymore for b-PPVs in arenas. Past WWE would’ve tried to build a pagoda like at the Brickyard.

I think Rollins is going to leave as champ, Priest tries to do what Rollins did in Santa Clara in 2015 and fails. I'd like if Priest tries to do it and fails, but the result is Nakamura beating him, so Seth loses the title and Priest possibly fails due to botched interference from JD, or just Nakamura taking advantage of the situation. Depends entirely on who they'd want to try to protect on the finish.

The Saudi shows have been pretty meaningful lately. The last one had the finals of the WWE title tournament, Asuka winning the women’s title, Trish and Becky’s first match, a Lesnar-Cody match and the tag title match with Roman in it.
