As far as mystery reveals go this isn't one of the worst at least? It makes sense with Roddy clearly being one of the goons early on.
And I'm very glad Joe won the title too, my big fear for the devil reveal was that they'd drag out MJF as champ wayyyyy past its due date and it was already wayyyyy past its should be done date.
I really wanted more of the MJF/Cole friendship but I'll take this over like. Tony Khan as the devil lol

also i gotta say, mjf went full theater kid even more than usual with the "how could you" at cole and that part couldn't have been done any better. these two are gonna beat the shit out of each other when the time comes, mjf got his heart broken

That was a really convoluted way to put together the most mild salsa stable I’ve seen in a minute. I guess the ingredients make sense, but the flavors don’t pop for me at all.
I’m over here like “do we have any of that Firm left?”

No the first one was actually like a week or two removed from Cole's injury when Jay White got assaulted We actually thought it might not be Cole because we weren't sure if he could stand in the suit. |

It just feels like the safe, boring option to me:
Wardlows fine as muscle but by this point he should've graduated to leader.
Roderick Strongs been doing comedy stuff with the wheelchair and neckbrace.
Mike "Vanilla" Bennett and Matt "friend of Mike Bennett" Taven have never been anything but boring.
And Adam Cole is just so played out as a heel at this point.

This muddies up so many motivations and renders a whole lot of segments just completely nonsensical. Like, all of those weeks we saw Cole at Roddy's place, trying to get away and call Max. Were those just staged fake segments to fool Max? Because they kind of have to be but like that makes no sense in just the general visual language of wrestling, where the segments were shot like real things happening and not just Cole with a camera f***ing around or doing a promo where he lied. I'm glad the intrigue is finally over though, and I look forward to the payoff of [checks notes] two guys both currently injured for the long term.

The reveal live was great. It's predictable but it makes sense and leads to a nice direction. Probably the best possible outcome.

I assume yes they were staged to fool Max, and obviously pretaped, which is why when Max tried to call Cole they kept dropping and he couldn't reach him It didn't make sense to begin with that Cole was there for three weeks when he needed surgery but we bought it lmfao |
