I think they'll reveal a lower level person tonight (Perry, Britt, Roddy?) and make it seem like that person is the devil at first but then the actual mastermind (Cole) will reveal himself later, whether that's literally minutes later as the show goes off the air or in the coming weeks on TV. I think they should probably just do it all tonight.

thought about it more and i'm still sticking with TK as horrible of an idea as it would be.
however.. that mone one makes a whole lot of sense considering the timing and in storyline she could've just paid a bunch of dudes to take him out so she's the true star of the show. i'm not a huge fan of hers but i'd go nuts if she is the one and it would be something totally fresh

It being Swerve would actually be somewhat ok no? Like it would be a genuine suprise (well as good a suprise as we can get at this stage). They've already established he has history with MJF and wants the title. Not sure how anything the Devil has done has led to Devil getting the title though Swerve was in the ring the last time we got a live in-parking lot appearance of the devil so at this point it'd be a weird retconning that wouldn't make sense. |

Surely if the Devil is revealed tonight. Which TK pretty much confirmed. How do you do that reveal, make it mean something and not have MJF lose. Like surely MJF has to lose for the Devil reveal not be DOA. Like say its Cole. MJF wins match, Devil comes out, face to face and reveals himself as Cole. You got the OMG moment but then what was the purpose of all these beatdown and mindgames he's been doing. Cole could have literally just sat at home doing nothing. Turn up tonight and smash MJF after his win with his crutch and you reached the exact same point MJF wins, The Devil comes out and reveals himself as Cedric Alexander, and commentary acts like he still pulled a fast one on MJF. It'll be great! |

This was probably the more predictable but safe outcome in terms of avoiding discourse about the angle
Might've gone on a little too long but it's the best choice for this storyline and likely a big time PPV blowoff.

So it was Adam Cole. Which was probably who it was going to be the entire time, I guess.
Problem here is your main matchup that’s meant to come out of it, both guys are injured. They’ll be sitting on it for a while with a lot of the TV time going to the rest of this stable doing their thing.
