Sure, but I don’t believe for even an iota of a second that he earnestly expected to outright win last night. I fully believe the reports that everyone is happy on both sides. TK shouldn’t be ripping on HBK’s booking on the X and riling up trolls, I guess, but I think there’s a method to his madness on social media.

Anyway, last night’s show was awesome, Full Gear has quietly sold extremely well so of course no one is really talking about it. AEW really feels like it’s started to turn a corner into the post-Punk era. It’s a good time to be a wrestling fan, generally, whatever your preference.

The one person that NXT didn’t bring on the show ironically, is the one person who actually got NXT over a million (Becky wasn’t on the show last night outside of a video package).

Considering Tuesday Dynamite was essentially people you would likely see every week/most weeks on Dynamite vs NXT bringing in big names for a single week, that’s pretty solid ratings for AEW.

The big take is in the span of a year since the last H2H, NXT has gained over 290k viewers, with an extra year’s experience behind the 2.0 roster which is incredible going for what were largely a bunch of nobodies when the rebrand happened 2 years ago

Read nothing into Dynamite ‘only’ getting 602k as their ratings always drop away from Wednesdays, they should be back to normal figures next week

It’s the tribalism I find most stupid, ‘WWE only got that because they booked Cena, Cody and Taker’ yeah but what was the excuse for them hitting 850k+ in the few weeks before that without using them 3 names and only Becky and Dom Dom from the main roster? ‘TK ran his mouth and got burnt’ sure he went overboard but it’s nothing he hasn’t done since the company started that’s just his personality, the stupid thing would have been if Trips or HBK had thrown a jab back

We got two great shows last night so we should be celebrating that fact, we haven’t had it this good since peak Monday Night Wars

I watched both shows, and liked one way more than the other, but I can't fault anyone for what they preferred, and 1.5 million people watched wrestling on a Tuesday night. That's a win.

And these shows are at least generally good. People in 1998 would be on Twitter arguing over a quarter hour with Kurgan/Marc Mero going against Wrath/Mike Enos.
