It's weird how when they were loose allies Sheamus, Barrett, and Miro were a blast together, but soon as they made it official and added Alberto to it it suuuuuuuuuuucked. At least we got TV Champion Rusev out of it. Yeah I was going to say when it was just Rusev, Sheamus and Barrett, it had some potential, but it all went to hell quickly lol Adding Del Rio to anything makes it worse.

Oh and while they were great in terms of kayfabe and led to some great things like Bryan's big Wrestlemania moment and the rise of the Shield as main eventers, the Authority was just miserable to watch week to week. We like to talk about Roman and the Bloodline being misery booking merchants, but we need to remember that the Authority were the originators of misery booking.

Nothing can top the outright bad execution of virtually everything from the likes of Retribution, but Schism made a noble effort. Yeah, I think Retribution is worse than Schism. Schism at least had a clear leader from the beginning and some what of a point... Retribution never really had a point and took like midway through till Ali became the leader... and... they never explained the goofy masks and name changes to people we knew... (no Ali tweeting about shit doesn't count)

Considering their name, I'm amazed they lasted this long.

Yeah, not even close to the worst stable ever. One thing that that didn't help them is the fatigue of cult stables in general. I feel like I could go a long while without seeing another wrestling cult. Deaner's been a heel cultist/cult leader in Impact for too long now. I miss his goofy redneck face character.

Yeah, since VBD started and now The Design, all the guy does is make goofy faces and I can't take him seriously.

No stable that has Ava Raine can be considered the worst.

I enjoyed Gacy as a group/cult leader & I thought Ava’s reveal was awesome. Shame it didn’t work out.

You know, out of all the guys who have not been able to keep their indie name, it is really surprising that they never touched the guy who is named after a serial killer, with a name primarily associated with an over-the-hill deathmatch promotion in CZW.

Honestly I could see that being part of the reason for his current thing, both to provide a reason for a rename en route to the main roster and also because, like, Ava is just blatantly nowhere close to ready to be called up with him.

And speaking of The Authority, I'll ride and die on the hill that they were one of, if not the absolute worst stable in Pro Wrestling. Everything about them was just...terrible, to be quite frank.

Lets get this one out the way first. I know "evil foreigner" is a traditional wrestling trope but they weren't even trying. The fact their existence was solely to try and get babyface Roman over just makes things worse.
My two favorite parts of this whole thing were -That period where they kinda stopped caring and cut loose to have fun, but Alberto seemed to want no part of any human humour -The rumour Kevin Owens was supposed to be put in to the group and literally only missed that bullet by being sick that week

Retribution was way worse, just for what it was originally intended to be and how it failed in every single aspect
But yeah... this one wasn't great. Joe Gacy deserves better and everyone involved in this did too.
