I don’t think it’s a Dixie or Bischoff move but it does have me concerned it’s gonna be like Flair and Andrade vs. Darby and Sting as Sting’s last match or that Flair will be more physically involved than anticipated given the new deal. Maybe that’s unfounded, but I’m more concerned today than I was on Monday. If they put Ric Flair in a match after how he looked during his "Last Match" then every doctor in that company needs their medical license revoked, dead serious lmfao |

That’s part of the issue here. TK has publicly banned Hulk Hogan from AEW events (https://www.forbes.com/sites/alfredkonuwa/2020/06/02/tony-khan-bans-hulk-hogan-from-all-aew-events/amp/) for his prior conduct, but then turned around and hired Flair. This is the single dumbest thing I can remember a company doing in a long time. There's no upside, there's no potential upside. Even with with Tyrus or Punk I get the theoretical logic they might bring new viewers. Who is tuning into see a geriatric sex offender who can no longer wrestle or talk? Can he even elbow drop his jacket these days? Maybe there's enough nostalgia for a few appearences with Sting but multiple years? Even when he's not there the shilling of his energy drinks will detract from the show.
Logan Paul is also a piece a shit energy drink salesman that should be in prison but at least he can do cool flips in the ring and he's relatively young, f*** knows why but he appeals to some younger fans and damn does wrestling need that.
But Flair is 74! Nick Wayne is 18, Billie Starkz is 19. He's 37 years older than them combined. Which happens to be his daughters age. He was born before Queen Elizabeth II became queen. This is supposed to the challenger company! The alternative.
They've used legends so well because they had a small number that add something making younger stars look better. Anyone saddled with Flair will look worse, hell I already like Sting less for trusting him.
In the same week TNA look to the future and sign 18 year old Leon Slater which sums it up. When TNA are the sensibly run company making you look dumb and backwards something has gone very wrong. Hell I was even reluctant to post that because TNA do sound good these days, the roster seemed happy having a dance party. Something tells me Flair won't be helping group morale.

I still doubt we'll ever see Hogan in AEW. I'm not even gonna go into who's a worse human being, but I have a feeling that the difference between Flair and Hogan for TK is workrate. He's that kind of guy sadly.

Sapp said last week the locker room doesnt mind Flair being there and they dont care about what the twitter thinks of him

The difference between Flair and Hogan is that Hogan is so publicly an asshole that it's near-impossible to sweep under the table. Not that that stopped WWE from bringing him back as recently as January of this year for the Raw 30th anniversary episode.
This is a carny-ass business.
