I've been kinda down on AEW due to some mindless booking, but this genuinely has soured me on it.
Like, I hate QT and call him a channel changer for me, but Flair is going to be that for real. The idea of him being a weekly fixture while guys sit in ROH or on Rampage just irritates me.

Even if someone can get past Ric being a sex pest the question is what does Ric really add to AEW? He's had roles in creative before and it was a disaster. He's in no shape to have a match. From everything I've seen he no longer has it on the mic so you can't say he'd be a good manager. Like legit, unless it has come down that Charlotte will sign with AEW if her dad is there... even then I'm not sure if signing Ric has any value unless he somehow is a key to getting AEW enough money they can overlook it. Now it's possible Tony is just trying to be a good guy and help someone he considers a friend (both Ric and Tony have talked about being close), but it is difficult to find really any pros in bringing Ric in If Ric needs the money that bad, Tony can pay him to clean his toilets or something, and do it quietly without telling anyone. Not put him on TV.

If Flair actually wrestles at Revolution, I’d be really, really sad.

I have to imagine that AEW's legal team will intervene and prevent that obvious negligence.

I have to imagine that AEW's legal team will intervene and prevent that obvious negligence. I’d hope so, but this also a wonderful example of why Flair is useless. We’re talking about him dying in the ring vs. at least speculating on what they’re gonna have him do. Like I said, his time is over, but all this does is just prove it’s all about him and that’s it.

I don't even know if Tony will let him wrestle or how this is being handled but if Ric is like seeking bump clearance and floating his medical status to the sheets youy have to wonder how much he's saying to Tony directly. If he can't healthily accept being told no and he's going to do all of this then it's going to suck and it's oging to add that bit of friction this all doesn't need, all with the threat Tony might greenlight him taking bumps just to see if he can handle them (he can't) this f***ing sucks man

With his son in law needing something to get him to the next level, and perhaps possibility his daughter shows up some day. Having him there has some value. You must be f***ing joking. Andrade needs a manager, not an albatross around his neck. Ric can't cut a promo, he can't take bumps and he can't get heel heat. Dude is useless as a manager.
And Charlotte signed a new contract with WWE, which ends well after Rics contract ends. Signing him in the off chance that he will still be there when Charlottes contract ends and AEW can sign her is asinine. And quite frankly, it shouldn't be her job to look after Ric.

And then he fired him and burying him in the process and with how Punk reacted to his firing its beyond obvious Tony and Punk dont get along anymore.

Probably one who operates out of his apartment and when you go see him, he always greets you with "Be quiet. My wife Minerva is sleeping."

See I haver never really understood the pairing anyway. The whole father and son in law situation is weird anyway as they do not seem to have much of a relationship or chemistry because of the situation atleast not publicly. This is just my perspective for sure but it just feels more like a pairing because of the circumstances and not something natural.

There’s something darkly ironic that they announce Ric Flair being signed at the same time that Kris Statlander is calling for the women to be used more.

In addition, I don’t think Charlotte and Andrade are even together anymore.
