Well, IYO lost via rollup and neither Dakota nor Kairi were pinned in the fatal 4-way tag match, so all in all probably the best results for Damage Ctrl to avoid "The Devourer of Worlds" Bianca Belair.

I mean kayfabe wise, WWE had very much started setting up an "out" for Bianca to lose, in her bad leg. But it seems incredibly likely they are pulling that trigger as soon as Friday when she likely loses to Nia. I can't see Lyra winning Queen of the Ring, regardless of who wins the Smackdown side though.

IYO has lost to freaking Mandy Leon in STARDOM...so this loss is just a thing but the reaction that seemingly is across the board in other places isn't exactly in favor of Lyra's win which surprises and doesn't surprise me because IYO has been the legit MVP of this tournament and so many people have started to latch onto her again because of her performance and this has been the running gag with her since BackLash of last year when she started getting over but then WWE/HHH completely doubled down on her heel run and turned Bayley babyface instead.
This is very much a she is getting over again let's not call the audible here yet again anyways.
I wanna know what the plan is for her now because they aren't in any title picture and looking at the field of women there really isn't a worthwhile feud set for them.
Lyra looks like she is getting set for a title match at Clash no matter who holds that title coming out of Saudi.
Shayna and Zoey are in the tag title picture.
This is why I speculate that maybe they go over to MariGold (assuming a working relationship is infact happening) as a kind of break and win titles over there and defend them across 2 companies....or atleast IYO does.

I'm surprised so many folks are expecting Liv to possibly dethrone Becky. I'm always a believer 1000%, but hearing this makes me happy AND hopeful... W or L, in exchange I hope for ALL the best to DMG CTRL against Becky... Somehow she is a tougher opponent than Bianca these days, IMO.

People are expecting it to happen because it makes the most sense right now. On top of the fact that Becky seemingly hasn't signed a new deal, and her current deal is apparently up VERY soon (supposedly within the next week or two) tells me that she's dropping the title. But yeah, it makes sense from a storytelling perspective as well, because Rhea will likely be back by Summerslam, where I assume she's probably gonna crush Liv and retake the title (and if not at Summerslam, then whatever the following PLE is). Taking the title from Becky now gives Liv a small little reign (~2 months or so) without making the title look too bad. The problem is what happens after that, because the heel side the division is a complete wasteland in terms of credibility, and there is zero chance of Rhea returning as a heel. And they are doing nothing to build up any other woman right now either.

From Dakota's IG Story: She should get a Women's World title reign out of this.

Considering they moved Damage CTRL to Raw, I’d be shocked if Becky loses the title yet. A big summer feud between her and Iyo seems like a smart bet. There’s really no one for Liv to feud with in a title feud apart from Becky. The face side of the Raw women’s roster is thin (probably a big reason they’re pushing Lyra hard).

I wouldn't be shocked if Becky lost the title to Liv. I imagine if they had a big summer title feud planned for Becky and Iyo, then Iyo wouldn't have lost last night to Becky's little buddy. Clean at that. Because Iyo could have used Queen of the Ring to parley that into a title shot. Similar to what I think they are gonna do with Nia Jax. I also feel like Rhea is going to be returning probably as soon as Summerslam, and that's the next PLE after Money in the Bank, and WWE will probably want to run Liv/Rhea for the title there. Liv in the meantime would probably face off in a rematch against Becky, and probably a match against Lyra as well. Unless you are assuming that Becky loses the title to Liv and then starts a feud with Iyo. In which case, Iyo absolutely needs to go over clean, none of this sketchy heel shit anymore.

If Rhea is actually back by July (which she’d need to be to build to a Summerslam match), then sure they can have Liv win Sunday, then retain in a gimmick match at Clash with Becky. If Rhea is out longer than that, I’d think Becky will retain and defend against Liv, Iyo, Kairi over the next few months.

Well things are about to get interesting. Look what Abema announced on twitter just now. "WWE Supershow Summer Tour announced!!" Three Japan shows announced for July - July 25th at the Edion Arena #1 in Osaka, July 26th and 27th at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo And a reminder that MariGold has their first ppv on the 13th.
