My god.
I was thinking this during the later part of the AEW run, but this rash of injuries means you really can’t put Punk in title feuds any more. Make him a special attraction that wrestles a few times a year. That’s all he can do.
Like, I don’t even understand this. How can one guy get hurt so much?

I'm sure this is going to lead to totally normal discourse from the tribal weirdos across the internet. Totally normal.

He's actually fine and just called Rod over to tell him his eyebrows looked great and if the cameras weren't on he'd be falling in love a lil bit

If this turns out to be the same injury again, is there a specific reason why it would happen again? Like is it more likely to happen once you’ve been injured once? It’s just crazy that it could keep happening.

If true he's shot. 100% done. Credit for continuing the match and doing what he could to put Cody over.

No matter what you think of the guy, you never want to wish an injury on someone. But I imagine he's likely to have discussions with his doctor, family, and the company about the best course forward. These could all be freak accidents or it could be a sign that his body just can't do this at a high level anymore. And he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who wants to do this at anything but a high level.

TO have an actual discussion, if it was his triceps, I am curious if this is one of those injuries that once you get hurt it's easy to sustain that injury again. Feels like you hear more about Biceps tears than triceps. Curious if it's something a bit more serious he needs to get looked at that has caused the injury or if it's as simple as "don't do xyz, again"

Danielson's been racking up injuries left and right as well. When you work super hard for a very long time, it catches up to you. The fact that Samoa Joe is still doing it is kind of miraculous. Same with AJ.

Let’s see what the details are. Luckily, Raw is filled with extremely over acts that can take his place in a title match. Personally, I’d love to see Rollins-McIntyre-Zayn in a triple threat if Punk can’t go.
Or with Brock out of the picture, maybe you just rocket Gunther to the main event. Although I’m pretty sure he won’t be able to travel to Perth for EC so they’d need to pivot and do a different EC match.

I don’t wish injury on anyone but CM Punk is shot. His ego is shot. His body is gone. His spirit with work on the mic had been broken.
Punk has lost respect from many in the industry.
He will be back but WWE should just have him announcing big matches.

Punk vs. Seth in a shooting fireworks at eachother from 10 ft. away match They’d really burn down the house And I mean REALLY burn down the house when they both miss and set the building on fire.

CM Punk's dreams of headlining Wrestlemania will likely not be realized this year.
PWInsider.com can confirm that Punk suffered a torn triceps during the Men's Royal Rumble match and is believed to heading towards surgery after an appearance on tonight's Raw. Punk is in Tampa for the show.
The belief among sources we have spoken with is that post-surgery, Punk would likely need in the area of 4-6 months of recovery and physical therapy. If correct, that would obviously put him out of Wrestlemania as a wrestler and if he gets the surgery within the next week, it likely means he wouldn't be able to return to the ring until this summer.
A review of the match shows that Punk may have been injured taking a DDT from Drew McIntyre. Punk rolled out of the ring holding his left arm following that spot. Punk suffered a torn triceps of his right arm while performing for AEW, so this would be a new injury, not a reoccurrence of a previous injury. Punk was the final competitor eliminated by Cody Rhodes.
Punk returned to WWE this past November at the 2023 Survivor Series and wrestled two live event matches against Dominik Mysterio the following month. The Men's Royal Rumble match was his first televised WWE match since the 2014 Rumble match.
WWE had been building to Punk vs. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at Mania this April in Philadelphia. How they pivot remains unknown as this time.
well damn

Feels like you hear more about Biceps tears than triceps. Curious if it's something a bit more serious he needs to get looked at that has caused the injury or if it's as simple as "don't do xyz, again" Tendon tears are easier to become a recurring injury after an initial one.
