Punk vs. Seth in a shooting fireworks at eachother from 10 ft. away match They’d really burn down the house And I mean REALLY burn down the house when they both miss and set the building on fire. WE'RE GOING TIL THE WORLD STOPS TURNIN AND WE BURN IT TO THE GROUND TONIGHT DNDRNDRNDNRNDRNDNRDNR

I know people have reasons to not like the dude, but this honestly has me feeling kind of sad. It's a bummer to see some of those guys that were the original torch bearers for that indie scene from 2002-2007 starting to wind down or break down. It's a sign of the passage of time that's just not sitting well with me today. Real bummer.

No matter what you think of the guy, you never want to wish an injury on someone. But I imagine he's likely to have discussions with his doctor, family, and the company about the best course forward. These could all be freak accidents or it could be a sign that his body just can't do this at a high level anymore. And he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who wants to do this at anything but a high level. It's honestly the same conversation that Bryan Danielson's probably having with his family. Danielson's been racking up injuries left and right as well. When you work super hard for a very long time, it catches up to you. The fact that Samoa Joe is still doing it is kind of miraculous. Same with AJ. Joe getting to a level that's in the same ballpark as his 2005-2007 one in 2023-2024 is incredible. I thought the dude was done as a top level talent after his wretched 2011, but dude has been great in AEW and seems to be having the time of his life.

At this point, Punk and Rollins should just have a cinematic match.

I don’t wish injury on anyone but CM Punk is shot. His ego is shot. His body is gone. His spirit with work on the mic had been broken. Punk has lost respect from many in the industry. He will be back but WWE should just have him announcing big matches. Mox took his soul.

Punk vs. Seth in a shooting fireworks at eachother from 10 ft. away match You'd expect some fun and strategy like this
But on current form it would probably go more like this

Same with AJ. That's true. Although with Bryan, one could argue two of the three he's had in AEW were freak accidents in areas that generally heal just fine (Okada landing on his arm and an errant blow to the eye) whereas Punk has now had two injuries to the same muscle that could make him more susceptible to issues in the future. But they're important questions for any guy at this age with an injury history to ask themselves.

Hoo boy. (It's up on Alvarez's Twitter, but you have to subscribe) How does Alvarez know that Punk has more injuries to come? What does Alvarez know that we don't?

At this point, Punk and Rollins should just have a cinematic match. I legit want a "Deletion" style match with both of them doing Broken Matt impressions.

I crack on the guy but that really f***ing sucks. He was going to add a ton of star power and spectacle to Mania this year.

I will say, credit to him for finishing the Rumble. And WWE is very lucky they decided to have Cody win the match and not Punk. It would have been an even bigger downer that way.

Looks like his first big singles match back likely won’t happen until Summerslam then.
Can combine two Mania matches and do Rollins-Drew-Zayn, but not sure exactly how you get to that.
