Looks like his first big singles match back likely won’t happen until Summerslam then. Can combine two Mania matches and do Rollins-Drew-Zayn, but not sure exactly how you get to that. Or Priest cashes in. Dude has more than earned it.

Not including tag matches, I think we're on something like 3 significant injuries in his last 9 big singles matches.
Spread across nearly 2 years.
I don't think his body can handle this anymore, I think that was one the reasons he first started to go insane in AEW.

It's honestly the same conversation that Bryan Danielson's probably having with his family. Danielson's been racking up injuries left and right as well. When you work super hard for a very long time, it catches up to you. The fact that Samoa Joe is still doing it is kind of miraculous. Same with AJ. That's true. Although with Bryan, one could argue two of the three he's had in AEW were freak accidents in areas that generally heal just fine (Okada landing on his arm and an errant blow to the eye) whereas Punk has now had two injuries to the same muscle that could make him more susceptible to issues in the future. But they're important questions for any guy at this age with an injury history to ask themselves. Yeah, it seems like Bryan keeps injuring himself because he's obsessed with the "art of pro wrestling" and keeps having incredibly stiff puro-style matches despite really having no reason to at 42-years-old and in the twilight of his career. That's his preprogative, especially since he, apparently, is in his last year as a full-time wrestler. Punk has, for the most part, tried to adapt his style to his physical limitations in the same way that guys who are currently having extremely high level runs into their late 40s like AJ Styles, Christian, Adam Copeland, and R-Truth have, but his body just seems to be failing him. He broke his foot jumping the guardrail to celebrate with fans. He's now, apparently, suffered two triceps injuries just through the repetitive motion that is unavoidable in a pro wrestling match. Some of it is just genetics, I think. Punk is a brilliant psychologist in the ring and is capable of having extraordinary matches, even now, but he wasn't super athletic even at 30. Now, at 46, his body just doesn't seem like it'll hold up against the insane physical rigors of pro wrestling.

They were this close of having Muffingate electric bugaloo Not trying to pick a fight, but jokes about somebody getting hurt kind of suck.

I said this back when he had his first issues with AEW (albeit for different reasoning), but wrestling clearly isn't good for him anymore. Now, I get that injuries happen, but he's in his 40's and it sure seems like he's just shot.

Hoo boy. (It's up on Alvarez's Twitter, but you have to subscribe) How does Alvarez know that Punk has more injuries to come? What does Alvarez know that we don't? either voodoo doll of punk or he plans on injuring him personally.

Damn, this sucks to hear. Never liked Phil Brooks as a Person much especially after the stuff in AEW and his Backstage Attitude, but since his WWE Comeback it seemed like their is still the Hype with him and now this...

Thats the look of someone who knows he cant do this anymore
People will dunk on him, which really says more about them than anything else, but I don't know how you can see that and not feel bad for the guy.

I wonder if a combination of his body wearing down and overtraining is a part of this. We’ve seen the videos of him putting in a lot of reps and getting in shape. And might be pressing too hard.

Yeah, I am personally of the belief that he is pretty much 100% responsible for everything that went down surrounding his AEW exit, but in both instances it was gut-wrenching to see him processing every stage of grief in real time after injuring himself in a big match.
