I have to wonder if he should keep doing this instead of being in a high profile role where he mostly talks or commentates, especially since he obviously wouldn't be taking drugs to numb the pain later on in his life/career. Hopefully he can heal up soon in time for Mania because I'm sure he wants/was getting that main event but what then after he presumably wins the title?

So does that mean Seth vs Gunther? I wouldn't. Gunther needs to drop the IC title and it should be Mania. I'd go Seth/Drew/Sami
Unless they have Gunther pull a Samoa Joe and forfeit the IC title so he can get a shot at Seth's title.

He clearly loves the side of training the up and coming talent but his body is for sure failing him. |

If he fully tore his triceps, there’s almost no shot he can put off the surgery for 10 weeks. Yeah, if he puts it off for ten days he's cutting it fine, 10 weeks he can kiss goodbye to the muscles in that arm. Isn't that basically what Orndorff did because of how his push was going, and by the time he got surgery it was too late and he got muscle atrophy? |

His was some sort of spinal injury, I think, that caused his right arm to atrophy. Same potential outcome though. |

Punk's ratio of matches to injuries over the last year or two is awful. Maybe his body just isn't cut out for actually wrestling anymore and he should consider taking on another role in the industry. Good luck to him with the recovery.

I mean this in a kind, respectful way: If he wants to keep wrestling he needs to be a part time nostalgia act. He can't "go" as a main performer anymore. If he's going to keep wrestling he needs to realize his limitations and embrace the step down with some grace. He's still got some stories (and money) to be made if his ego can allow it.
