I hope it's an exaggeration of the injury and they are partially working us, like when Diesel "broke his arm" but was wrestling King of the Ring three weeks later.

It's REALLY time to retire. At least WWE wasn't stupid enough to have him win. I'll give'em THAT over AEW. I gotta be consistent, no need to go there. And even without getting into tribal arguments, Punk is too much of a merch seller and draw for WWE that it would be silly to not consider putting the belt on him |

I hope it's an exaggeration of the injury and they are partially working us, like when Diesel "broke his arm" but was wrestling King of the Ring three weeks later. I think it is just because in the segment with Drew, he was handling the mic with his bad arm, threw a few elbows, took the arm brace off while wheeling the arm around, and then they did the stomp spot. The tricep's an important muscle for any arm movement, I pulled mine once and was limited for a few days, you tear the tricep it can be as immobilising as a bad shoulder injury. No way would they medically clear that if it's serious. I think he's possibly tweaked it, but not as bad as being made out and as such I have a sneaking suspicion that he will still make Mania, either via the Chamber, or some last minute, Raw-before-Mania shenanigans. Punk's absolutely the type to want to 'work the internet' too. And yeah I know that literally every clusterf*** he's had the last 2 years has had people call "it's a work" but honestly, if I'm Triple H, I see that and use that. Play off of everything that went wrong in AEW from his phony-seeming face run to locker-room drama to being injured at big moments repeatedly, use it to fool people, because if you do it could pay off huge. Which, given my track record of calling these things, means in a week's time Punk will have got in trouble for creeping on an NXT girl, start a fight in catering, and be released. |

I had completely forgotten about that, but Shy Guy CM Punk unlocked a core memory.

As far as missing WrestleMania, I actually think unless he doesn't want to travel, it would be kind of cool to have him provide commentary if we got a match between Rollins and McIntyre. Punk is a guy who I would love to see face both guys, so having him there would be a nice addition given what they were building towards.

People suck. I've seen so much crap online of people practically doing cartwheels since Punk hurt some feelings or may or may have not smacked around one of their favorites. They then have the nerve to talk about karma. Irony is lost on these people. Punk may not be people's cup of tea, but people celebrating PhiL Brooks, the very real man, getting injured is just low. |

I doubt that WWE are working this, after the rumble there were rumors that Punk was legit injured, and we have heard nothing about this being a work, which tells me we aren't going to be seeing Punk for quite a while and he isn't getting his 'mania "Main Event" this year. |
