Ryan Satin is really mad about it, so that's nice This does sound like a legit gripe:

that would be perfect for both of them I eagerly await punk being casually sent down to nxt for an episode that goes against dynamite and he ends up getting into a knife fight with von wagner And that still probably wouldn't be the weirdest thing to happen on that episode. im telling you, all this means tonight is that nxt is now the retreat in wrestling from all punk related things, we are number one now

One thing's for sure.
That Broken Skull Sessions episode is going to be insane.
*leans back in chair and puts hands up* "I'm thinking, is Seth workin' or is he shootin'!" Seriously tho, I hope they do a Broken Skull Sessions together. Mostly because I miss that show.

news and notes from PWInsider:
We are told by one WWE source that CM Punk is expected at Raw in Nashville this Monday.
Punk was not backstage during the Survivor Series PPV until shortly before he was to come out for his post-main event cameo. When Punk was brought into the building, the company secured an area for him and had everyone nearby move elsewhere in order to protect the surprise.
We are told that what Triple H said during the post-PPV media call was correct, that he and Nick Khan were the point people involved in bringing Punk back into the company and that literally no one else in the creative and production side of the company were made aware until during the PPV. We are told a small select group at that point were aware and that most talents were not made aware until moments before the bout, although it believed at least a few were clued in privately before that.
The WWE conversations, as PWInsider.com reported late last night, began less than a week ago. Until that point, Impact Wrestling had made a major money offer to Punk which we are told he was mulling over. In speaking to Impact sources after Punk's WWE return, we are told that Punk was "amazing" with his dealings with Impact's Scott D'Amore and Lou D'Angeli during discussions. Impact sources felt they were very close to scoring Punk and at one point, hoped he would be at Bound for Glory and part of the unveiling of the return of TNA, which did not happen. The conversations between the two sides continued. In speaking to Impact sources, while the company had hoped Punk would come in there full-time, they realized the reality of the situation involving WWE and how much money could be made and were happy for Punk. We also heard from several Impact talents who said they were appreciative of the time and advice he had spent with them at several tapings in Chicago when he visited.
At no point was CM Punk going back to AEW nor was he ever scheduled to be The Devil the company keeps teasing in their MJF storylines.
For those who have asked this, it's entirely possible the Seth Rollins stuff was a work. We are told that the Drew McIntyre situation (if even related to Punk) was not a work in that there was no one filming Drew backstage while Rollins was obviously out in front of a live crowd with WWE cameras and lots of fans with their phones.
It is being repeated elsewhere that PWInsider.com reported Punk signed a three-year deal. We never reported that number, so if you see it anywhere, it's absolutely incorrect and being attributed to PWInisider for the usual stupid reasons.

Never say never in pro wrestling, I guess. I'm disappointed that this entitled douche is getting another chance.. however, I'm intrigued by the fall out that will come from this, and wondering how long it will be before Punk is out the door again, and maybe trying to get signed by New Japan.

Punk started multiple fights, and took shots at others while in AEW. Why were people thinking he was gonna be the Devil? Drew is probably hurt, the holding the side of his head and not much interaction between he and Jey after he first came in.

Ryan Satin is really mad about it, so that's nice This does sound like a legit gripe: I love how the common cycle is someone goes "Ha ha this guy doesn't like CM Punk" and then it turns out it's because Punk tried to have an elite special forces group assassinate them and their family on vacation because Punk didn't get a Christmas card one year.

CM Punk is really the one that took out Frank Castle's family. The reason? Castle had better seats to a Cubs game once.

Also the PWInsider bit and the press conference lines should put to bed the idea that every wrestling reporter is in shambles and doesn't know shit, and even the Boozer guy saying a month ago that stuff was moving swung and missed withy that one if talks happened within this week and he was in the midst of talks to go to TNA. It won't be, because something something Bryan Alvarez bias or whatever but. It'd be nice.

I don't know how to feel. I feel so many things! It's a very Vince move and I get why Triple H did it. Punk is still a huge star. I hope he doesn't regret it and he still has the support of his locker room, full of Punk's many enemies. But there's no evidence to suggest Punk has changed.
The number one thing I'm feeling is that Punk is a giant, massive, whopping big hypocrite.

I love when Punk news stories drop lines like these This one I actually believe. He would be a huge get for TNA and let’s face it…they’re just one outburst and firing away from getting him. Don’t burn the bridge to his inevitable last resort.

Don’t burn the bridge to his inevitable last resort. NWA would be his last resort, when Corgan gets him as a needle mover lol

I guess CM Punk realised that having money is better than having an opinion.
I wish him all the best. Hopefully the enviroment works for him. Hopefully he gets what he wants. If the CM Punk from his first half of his AEW run turns up then there's a lot of money to be made and a lot of good matches too. If the Punk from Muffingate shows up then screw him.

all just guessing but even though he’s a heel now, did anyone else notice how pissed drew looked in the cage all night? sure sure yes he wanted to destroy jey, he’s a mean heel now but he looked like he was genuinely about to rip the cage in half. there is acting angry and the kind of angry where you slowly step away and say “hey buddy let me know when you’re ready to talk sorry” lol Dom was sat at the back of the cage just before Drew went out & he was like “Nope I’m not going to even interact with this dude, let alone stop him from going out next”

I didn't even realise Drew had a negative reaction about anything, until I came back on here to post about Survivor Series. I just thought he was playing his role in the match.
