The Copyright logo appearing just before the comeback worked really well. Orton just appearing 30 seconds after Ripley ran down didnt make much sense.. He could have been kept for Monday Night Raw. The prominent reddit leaker guy/frog mentioned its all a work. SRS (who is adamant it isnt a work) is just being a doofus by refusing to acknowledge it as one, because he got burned real bad this weekend over it. SRS didn’t get burned. He never said anything but yeah, I’m being told it’s not happening but he never firmly reported it one way or the other. He was the first reporter to actually get the news that it was happening. He literally put together an FAQ yesterday that recapped everything he heard before the return. He’s also not adamant it’s a work. He was saying he thought maybe Drew’s response was legit but he wasn’t sure about Seth. |

40 pages for Punk in 8 hours shows why WWE brought him back. The WWE gets no money from how many pages someone gets on a forum... especially when it's almost entirely like the same 10 people talking in it. |

I just rewatched all the video of the guys in the ring when Punk comes out I think my favorite part is Randy who just doesn't give a f***.. Didn't they keep Gail around for like six months after that and keep trying to get her to return? Don't know about wanting her back but yes they made her sit out the rest of her contract. Had she requested her release without making a public spectacle of it they probably would have granted it. Randy sitting on a chair and waving is so Randy, I love it |

I stopped watching WWE in May 2021 so I rarely post in this section. I just wanted to say this : CM PUNK IS NO LONGER THE VOICE OF THE VOICELESS. This thread has it all now, I guess including character development. Sort of. Welcome to the dark side, CeilingFan. Colliders stay strong. |

Punk will main event night 1, and then spend the next decade being upset because “everyone knows the real main event is night 2”. I’d bet money on that.
WWE doesn’t need Punk, he needs them, but this will help the company as far as merch and gives them a main event name with many potential feuds (Rollins, Reigns, Cody, etc). Just have to see how long Punk is on good behavior.

Dirtsheet reports with an obvious foot in Punk's camp are my favourite thing they're beyond parody.
"Punk brought everybody backstage poseys and was reported to say he wuvs them. Everyone was impressed by what a good little boy he was. Seth Rollins rolling his eyes at the display may have made Punk "big sad", but we're getting reports also thay Punk has been tugging at Rollins' sleeve and saying 'work?' for the last few hours."

Yeah I said it in my initial reaction in this thread…I feel like the dirtsheet writers are the ones who benefit the most from WWE bringing in Punk. I have absolutely 0 interest in actually watching even a second of anything Punk does on WWE programming, but I’m absolutely going to be paying a little closer attention to the Observer in the coming weeks. I know I absolutely don’t speak for everyone, but I also am willing to bet I’m not the only one. |

All I will say is that I could not have given a shit about Punk when he was in AEW and it would be hypocritical of me to change my opinion now. Which I would not do anyway.

I've always enjoyed Punk as a performer, but didn't really think they should bring him back due to what a hassle he can be backstage. Since they brought him back despite that I'm just going to sit back and enjoy what he does onscreen and just hope it doesn't go too badly behind the curtain.
