One really odd thing about it is "nobody knew anything, even the production staff..." etc But they had an edit of the remastered version of "Cult Of Personality" that was only released yesterday ready to go? I noticed it had the extended cut intro too. Similar to AEW. It wasn't the WWE edit version where after the static and one quick loop, it goes to the lyrics. This extended cut has more room to let the theme breathe before the lyrics. So someone backstage did some work for sure before he came out.

IF Punk want to take FTR back with him, please do.
Also, in terms of hurting AEW, Cody hurting AEW hurt 1000x times more(especially because it was Cody's choice,as a founding member).

also more positive environment . AEW is sadly run like a clubhouse Ah, so that was Punk's problem. He didn't get his naptime and have his sugar treats taken away from him. Not saying that. Like I said lets wait and watch.!

Imagine going back two or three years and telling a wrestling fan that these guys would be on the WWE roster page in 2023. Unbelievable. The First Dance was August 2021. And there was a genuine sense that there was a real shift in the wrestling landscape and AEW was about to cause serious problems for WWE. Barely two years later and CM Punk is interrupting a victorious Cody Rhodes after the main event of Survivor Series. Hilarious to think about, and proof you can never predict anything in the wrestling business. In 2025 they might both be turning back up on Dynamite.

I stopped watching WWE in May 2021 so I rarely post in this section. I just wanted to say this : CM PUNK IS NO LONGER THE VOICE OF THE VOICELESS. This thread has it all now, I guess including character development. Sort of. Welcome to the dark side, CeilingFan. Colliders stay strong. We laughed, we got angry, we cried. We had growth. Such is the power of Punk Threads

Tony Khan's next big announcement is the backstage footage from Wembley on pay-per-view That would be like WWF running a Jeff Jarrett "expose" on the guy one year later after he left on Raw in 1996.

I guess looking at what I've seen online being a multiple year deal.
I guess the money was just too sweet for Punk to take.
So this makes it 3 big signings in the TKO era?
Jade, Punk and Carlito?

The M in cm punk obviously stands for Mole, he was sent to infiltrate aew and bring it down from the inside. When it was failing, triple H pulled the plug and got punk to punch khan in the face and has now brought him back. A plan 10 years in the making, you heard it here first.

What an interesting trade btw, Punk for Flair - who wins that?! Feels like it was a bigger blockbuster trade. To AEW: Ric Flair Edge Ronda Rousey To WWE: Jade Cargill CM Punk

Between Ricky's friendships with Jade and Cody and then working with Punk.
I would not be surprised if Ricky Starks is monitoring the situation over at WWE.

In the Nick Khan thread, I said that, given WWE's penchant for fence mending and Punk's desire to be on TV, that this wouldn’t be all that surprising. But now that it has, it kinda is. The dude is just such a colossal tool, that I guess I thought they’d ultimately say no thanks.
But there’s no one in wrestling that stirs the pot like him. It doesn’t manifest itself in TV ratings or buyrates. But just based on pure internet chatter, which is something WWE values greatly, he is unrivaled. How many hundreds of pages have we spent talking about this guy? And we're just one small corner of that chatter. That’s why this happened. They knew it would get people talking.
