Over 2 million views on YouTube in 12 hours, the twitter video has 19.6 million views... yeah, can see why he's been brought back even if he isn't on anyone's Christmas card list.

On the plus side, the NXT episode where Punk appears is gonna be crazy when he teaches Von Wagner to be more assertive by banning Rob Stone and his family from their own house.

Between Ricky's friendships with Jade and Cody and then working with Punk. I would not be surprised if Ricky Starks is monitoring the situation over at WWE. Some of the things hes been tweeting over the last few years have made me think hes not overly happy in AEW.
I wouldnt be surprised if he leaves next year.

So with Punk back.
If Chyna was alive, that would be like the only other person who we would never see coming back that probably would be in the fold by now.
Bruno Bret Warrior Punk
The mount rushmore of people we thought would NEVER work with WWE again.
With Punk out of the way, I honestly can't think of anyone who's as close to never returning to WWE than Punk was.

I think this run will be really short (through design or well, not) but I do hope we get corporate punk at least once. Give me Punk in the ring saying he loves Saudi Arabia in a Red Sox hat It’s bad enough that he’s a Cubs fan, now he’s just checking off the list of the Cardinals’ Axis Of Evil.

Most people are making jokes or saying they hate it, though I didn’t say most popular, just biggest.

Here's the thing, this is Punk's LAST chance at a final run on the big stage, at this point in his career, Punk NEEDS WWE, and this time, he has absolutely ZERO power, and after how that went, he HAS to know that he can't do that kind of stuff anymore, because if he does and acts up again, they will fire him in an instant, i will gladly eat my words if he does, but i can't see it going like the collision run, because if he acts even a little like he did, he will be fired before it gets to that point

All eyes are on him from not one but two promotions now.

So I guess whatever was said at that backstage visit back in the summer probably helped too.
Except old man Vince, he wanted him escorted off the premises.
Speaking of Vince, anyone check up on him after this?
Is he dead?

But it's Punk so it'll go wrong.

Miro, Malakai Black, Andrade and Buddy Matthews are the obvious ones FTR also of course FTR have multi-year deals in AEW right now and claim it’s their last big contracts, though wrestling being a carny-fest means that could potentially not be true. Either way, they’re not going anywhere for at least another two years or so. As for other names that have been brought up: Omega, Jericho, and I think Miro all signed multi-year extensions fairly recently, too.

he won't last the length of whatever his deal is he'll go full scorched earth again and be blackballed from the 2 biggest promotions in the U.S. tna sure hoping so IF Punk want to take FTR back with him, please do. Also, in terms of hurting AEW, Cody hurting AEW hurt 1000x times more(especially because it was Cody's choice,as a founding member). Also cuz, you can’t really compare phil with Cody as far as being a spokesman/leader goes. Between Ricky's friendships with Jade and Cody and then working with Punk. I would not be surprised if Ricky Starks is monitoring the situation over at WWE. whole time ricky was paired w/ Punk on collision he looked uncomfortable AF to me, maybe just me reading it lol regardless stark is playing that game, Man’s going to get * paid* come contract time.

Nobody is leaving AEW unless their contracts expire or they threaten TK. Tho Malakai Black kinda tried it last night calling Claudio “Cesaro” and mentioning CM Punk.

not as delicious as the sweetness of the hypocrisy Had to quote because...yep. Some people don't dissapoint. The only people who care about his hypocrisy are those who already hate him. And those people are unable to see their favorites hypocrisy which makes the irony even more interesting.

I love the idea that WWE runs a tight ship and there’s less likely to be drama with Punk there, as if he didn’t already walk out of the company once before. Less drama. As far as we know Punk wasn’t assaulting co workers on the reg back in the day, or trying to use his power to ban people (because he didn’t have the power, which he still presumably won’t). We’ll see whether that higher level of drama continues into WWE or not.

Ricky was leaving the moment he saw Cody and Jade were thriving I'd say. This Punk thing doesn't help or hurt that. He still going imo.
