9:Sonic 3 and Knuckles (Via Sonic Origins) And that completed that, finishing off the Sonic Origins pack and sorta completing a goal from my early childhood, back when it was the Sonic & Garfield pack, finally beating Sonic 3 and Knuckles. I really loved how more alive this game is to Sonic 2, and Sonic 2 was already great.

Finished Alan Wake 2
Slightly cheesed that the true ending hidden behind New Game plus mode. Like I get the reason for it but it still a bit annoying. I put 40+ hours into playing it with hunting for all the collectibles etc so just give me proper ending first time around. Maybe once I get my backlog cleared but still got another 12 games to go (And it’s stuff like infinite wealth, Witcher 3 lol)
I mean YouTube exists so it’s cool
No idea what happened half of the story for the record ha. Really really enjoyed it though. Defo get the DLC once it’s out
Edit: That rock opera level? *Chefs kiss*

Far Cry 6 Despite Ubisoft being one of gaming's scummiest AAA companies, they're extremely reliable at putting out games I get sucked into. This one isn't the best of the series, and it really doesn't offer any real advances on earlier games in the series, but I love the setting and story, liked the characters, and siccing a psychotic roided-up rooster on enemies and watching him stomp their heads until they stop moving is endlessly entertaining. My only real criticism is it's a lot easier than earlier games.

Finally got around to beating Mario Wonder.
It's a good Mario Platformer... Nintendo pretty much perfected the style, this one definitely had a lot more personality to it than the New Super Mario Bros titles.

5. Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
This was my least favourite of the three, even if it was maybe the most varied in its level design.

1 - Jedi Survivor
2 - Danganronpa 1
3 - Danganronpa 2
4 - Resident Evil 2 Remake
5 - The Chant - Completed it today. It's a low-budget survival horror game with a few nice concepts--you have a mind and health meter to monitor and some creatures can attack the mind and cause you to have panic attack. A decent game, only $5 or so on PS Store at the moment.
And games I started but quit -- Avatar & Pacific Drive. Just found them boring.

6. Paper Mario
Started it last year, then got bored and stopped. I picked it up again the other day to do the final chapter and beat it last night lol

6. Bully: Scholarship Edition
I've played the PS2 a number of times but this is my first time playing the 360 version. Graphically it looks a lot smoother and brighter. The new missions didn't do much for me but i liked the new classes. As it turns out i really suck at geography. Still a fun game and i enjoyed creating a schedule for myself on how i'd tackle missions and classes. I just like how emersive it is. Has a lot of atmosphere and a good score.

10. Scooby Doo: Classic Creep Capers for the Nintendo 64
One of my goals this year was to finish the games I rented in my youth but never finished. This was one of them. I remembered it's very nice charm and faithfulness to the show, letting you play 3 classic episodes, wrapped around one over-arching story. I got a huge blast of nostalgia remembering this.
What I didn't remember was the controls that are the worst I've ever played in a 3D game. Imagine RE controls but like 10x worse. In a game which RE camera switches that you have to do multiple chases in. The only thing you'll be running for is the Invincibility cheat.

3. Mayhem Brawler
I went through two different playthroughs with She Wolf and Alley Witch to get the trophies. Of course, I still enjoy the game regardless and I could probably go through it again soon. I am usually a sucker for side-scrolling beat-'em-ups.
4. Mad Max
I started this game early in February. I took at least a couple of weeks off from playing but I finished it recently. I like the game, but man, it gets a little annoying when looting certain areas for scrap. I can enjoy the side-quests involving the camps and stuff. I see that there wasn't much in the story, which also explains there were the side missions. It's still a good game. Not just with its gameplay, but also the whole world to explore.
5. Final Vendetta
I hadn't played much of it, but I went through a playthrough with one character and used the easiest difficulty. I might try the other characters soon and maybe a higher difficulty.

I genuinely love this game. The looting definitely gets old in places, but the overall worldbuilding and atmosphere does a phenomenal job of translating the feel of the movies into a game. The vehicle combat is extremely satisfying too, and having to rush to find somewhere to shelter from the storms is a great little addition.

13. WWE 2K24 - Showcase Mode
I hate this miserable slog of a mode so damn much. Desperately miss when the unlock all let me avoid doing this meandering checklist nonsense entirely.

6. Red Dead Redemption 2 (Replay)
Finally got round to playing this again after abandoning it at the end of last year. The main story is finished, but I'm sure I'm about to spend hours running around doing all the other bits and pieces that I didn't get done yet. Then that'll be me done with the game for another few years.

7. Donkey Kong Country (via Switch Classic SNES Collection)
Didn't go for the 101% here, but will go for the whole shebang on Diddy's Kongquest and Dixie's Double Trouble.

Blood (fresh supply edition)
Don't get me wrong, I can see why this game is considered a classic and one of the most beloved first-person shooters from the 90s. But thank God that this remaster has a custom difficulty option. Because holy shit even the medium difficulty is unbalanced when facing Hitscan enemies, as you just get melted in seconds.
Also, it has one of the best ever shotguns in an FFS... so it's a win.

7. Batman Arkham Asylum First time playing any game in the series and i enjoyed it. Fun gameplay, great atmosphere and the voice cast is chefs kiss. I enjoyed how fluid the gameplay was during fights. Looking forward to continuing with City next. Played the Switch version and i had no issues with it at all.
8. Mafia 2 I've played this a number of times and i've always considered the Mafia games to be good until you actually have to play them. I don't think it's aged very well. Story is too disjointed which makes sense considering all the cuts, some of the characters you're meant to root for aren't likable and it ends in an unsatisfying way. I probably should've played Mafia: Definitive Edition instead.

I probably should've played Mafia: Definitive Edition instead. My biggest issue with Mafia II is how dead the city feels. Rockstar and Ubisoft have more or less perfected the art of making their open world games feel lived in and alive with activity. Mafia II's city feels like an empty backdrop.

10. WWE 2K24 -> Showcase
Didn't find it as frustrating as others, apart from that final rumble match, but it is what it is. It's been the same for a decade, but I really don't like how 90% of the matches end in cutscene. Did win the Rumble as Wyatt for one last tribute.

3 The legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom twitter.com/X_Burnside_X/status/1767209168237388028?t=JxWR-AfnMXAPfI3hIC2WOQ&s=19Got the lend of it from a friend from work the other week and had a blast. It didn't feel that long but apparently ive clocked 90 hours on it. Obviously there's tonnes of stuff and side quests I never got to the complete. Shrines were much better here but I wasn't so keen on the gloom and kinda felt the underground world wasn't as good as it could have been. Also surprised that my two horses, Megatron and Soundwave were in the stable from the first game!
