Really solid show overall. Theyāve really turned STRONG around with the internal shift and understanding what crowds are interested in seeing from NJPWoA (although I think that doesnāt officially exist anymore). Good to see them stacking the Chicago show nice and early, though Iāll be honest and say that the Naito/Mox G1 match was underwhelming at the time. Weāll see what the final card looks like coming off of the NJC and Sakura Genesis.

The longest running feud in wrestling (in my mind) came to an end today. Okada main evented the TNA tapings in a six man tag and said he didnāt hate TNA. This is my Savage and Elizabeth reuniting at Mania 7.
Oh and some guy named Will Ospreay had a match with Josh Alexander that tore the house down. The shows will air the next two weeks. Not sure whatās on what show. They were the last two matches taped.
Kushida and Kevin Knight also worked the show. Though not in the same match.

People have made a lot of comments regarding contract status with New Japan guys, which is funny because most of the roster is always on one-year deals, so thatās not actual news. Ospreay (and Tama I guess) are part of the gaijin cycle, and weāll see what the next couple years churn out on that end. TJP apparently said heās thinking of going heavy as the new leader of United Empire, which is not going to work for a few reasons, but thatās not my point here.
What is news that potentially changes the future of New Japan are people leaving their current promotions. MUSASHI, who teamed with YOH in the Super Jr. Tag League last year announced heās leaving Michinoku Pro, with his last match taking place in mid-March. Heās very much noted his resignation as step one of something bigger, so heās going elsewhere soon. Also AJPW in general is seeing a lot of upheaval and public issues between long-time wrestlers and their new president Tsuyoki Fukuda. Apparently his behavior and way of doing business has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, and guys like Shuji Ishikawa, Black Menso-re, Takao Omori and even their legendary ring announcer are going or already gone. Most of those guys are old vets, and not exactly young talent ripe for picking, but itās still worth noting as more are expected to leave in the near future. Sounds like the only people who like Fukuda are Nakajima and the ladies of Actwres girl'Z, who are all getting featured under his reign.
Worth keeping an eye on all that and see if NJPW picks anyone up later this year.

He's put TNA over in the past as having given him invaluable experience at playing to cameras and some other things that were useful to his development as a wrestler. He certainly didn't owe them that much, but he doesn't seem like the type to get hung up on these things, which makes sense given how well life has treated him in the years since. It's not really anything worth holding a grudge over when you've already secured your place as one of the biggest legends in New Japan history, realistically.

Worth keeping an eye on all that and see if NJPW picks anyone up later this year. Also throwing something to the M-Pro thing, remember that Fujita Jr. Hayato was in the RANBO~! and also took part in Hiromu's All Star Jr. Festival. (where MUSASHI was also), and faced the man himself in M-Pro. So might've been a way to appease an eventual transition if he does come to NJPW. As for the AJPW folks, unless one of their young studs/Kento becomes available, I doubt NJPW would poach anyone, and NOAH would probably ask for some more money from CyberAgent to probably win the bidding war (if they do so or not is another matter. I would think CA would rather invest in Omori since he was once somewhat of a draw, even if his good days are way behind us).

If Naito is still the champ by then, him vs Moxley could be for the belt
