I will say that, I understand people having issues with Taylor Swift due to not liking her music, the private jet usage, etc, but I feel like she doesn't really fit the thread's core premise that much because, well, the pushback has been so minor compared to her success. She had a hit film last year, is kicking the living shit out of just about everybody in album sales, her concerts do big business, etc. A bigger fall may yet be coming, but it's really clearly not here yet, so this feels like saying "soda makes me burp, no one drinks soda anymore" when that's really clearly not reflected in the metrics. "Go away heat" is very subjective, remember. I don't fault anyone who likes her music, I'm just tired of hearing about her and her latest boytoy. I follow a page on Facebook that's s'posed to be about food, but for the last few months at the very least most of what they've posted has been Taylor this and Travis that and it's like shut the f*** up about them already and go back to posting food! Judging from the comments I read on those posts, I'm not the only one wanting them to go back to food.

I'd say William Shatner might be up there.
There was a time like, 10-20 years ago when his ego seemed like it had called down, he'd relaxed with age.
He was playing into his public persona, having fun with it.
But the last few years it seems to have come back in force, as the rest of the TOS cast dwindles, they're being more open with how they feel and he's made some dumb comments about the series and other things.
At least in my ST circles, the feeling of "it'd be nice to give him one last moment" has totally gone and any mention of him is pretty much mockery.

Shatner's biggest problem is giving some douchebag cryptobro free reign to roleplay as Cranky Old Bill all over his social media accounts. There's two infamous accounts of "Shatner" getting into a war of words on Twitter with other Trek actors (Jason Isaacs and Brent Spiner) only to have no idea what they are talking about when they reached out to him via telephone.

What about at the FAN Forum? Who has PM'ed Max Landis lately to tell him he's a dingus and should go away?

I guess I am just thinking more of stuff like Roseanne's self-destruction, or how some people like Armey Hammer even before his issues seemed unable to become THE guy like studios so clearly were pushing for because he just rubbed people the wrong way and didn't click with audiences as a big time leading man. Armie was such a forced push too. I remember the hype over 10 years ago about him and just feeling unimpressed. No personality and just a look. Having read up later, I can see why.

Britney Spears infamous performance at the Grammy’s. She was just such a mess that time, you were waiting for the hook to come out and yank her off the stage.

Every so often you get them, like how Josh Hartnett got a big push as the next big thing, but no one ever cared about him in that kind of role.

James Franco as well Yeah, this boiled for a bit when he was overexposed for a while, but what really drove the nail in was the accusations and Seth Rogen needing to distance himself from him.

Ashton Kutcher, especially when he replaced Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men and his shitty Steve Jobs movie. Hollywood was pushing him big and I don't think the public took to him s they wanted.
His defense of Danny Masterson just makes things worse.

I know the feeling. I follow a local TV news station on Facebook, and they were posting stories about what she was wearing at a Chiefs game a few weeks ago. The comments were all either people asking "who gives a shit?" or confusion why a local news station that's nowhere near Missouri would be posting about a St. Louis sports team.

Did my posts get deleted for some reason? Yes. You were told you couldn’t do fictional characters.

Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer, Melissa McCarthy... Sadly I am the same with MM, and I don't even want to, necessarily. She seems like a nice person and I otherwise like her. But...9 times out of 10, you know what you're going to get when you see she's in something, and it got old a WHILE back. As someone who was critical of her likely for the same reason, I have to say she's veered away from the "fatty fall down"/LOUD roles as of late. Check out Genie, for example. She's pretty fun in that one.

Can I do IRL if it was in a specific setting? Because I'd mention Paula Poundstone when she was on the John O'Hurley version of To Tell The Truth in 2000. All she cared about was making jokes and not playing the game.
Similarly, Fred Travalena could be like this as well when he got too into his schtick on Match Game and such. You can do impressions, we get it! (It was really glaring on the MG/Hollywood Squares incarnation, as the Squares end of things allowed him to go on extended versions of his schtick. I disliked Edie McClurg on MG/HS too for this reason, as somehow Travalenaitis caught onto her as well)
