Putting aside the fact that, like, he's defending a man who essentially abused him for 8 out of 10 years of a contract because of buyer's remorse, what reason do you think Vince was giving Janel (and many other women) money and gifts and such? Because, in his mind, that was how he had power over them. Which is a form of abusive behavior.

Look, I can understand people's arguments about defending someone who is their friend or relative and want to support them through a time, I get that. Vince wasn't ever anyone's true friend because he was their boss. Even if they're the nicest person in the world and never had a bad word to say about you, he could cut you for any reason at any time and change your entire life for a scrap of extra profit. When that's involved, all bets are damn well off to me.

Hence why I have even more respect for Danielson's statement on the situation. He was given one of the biggest Wrestlemania moments in history and his response was basically that he couldn't view Vince and Johnny Ace in the same way after this, and how hurt he felt after hearing about it paled in comparison to the pain that the victims of people like them have faced.
