I’m expecting this to be a documentary for non fans as everyone here is already aware of Vince’s disgusting crimes. My only concern is it’ll damage the public image of professional wrestling as some people see Vince as the face of the industry even if the doc ends on Vince finally being forced out permanently.

Then so be it. The industry will only benefit from making extreme changes to clean out the rot that Vince left in his wake.

I understand removing anyone that knew what Vince was doing, but that’s hard to prove as Vince likely only shared the more vile details with people that would have approved. My concern is with the public that unless educated see all wrestling as WWE.

I don't care. I know there is going to be a race to see who is the most outraged by Vince, but, I don't care. There's millions upon millions of people involved in shit equal to or worse than whatever Vince did and you don't care. You can pretend, but if you like movies, or TV or music, or being alive, you gotta square that circle.

I understand removing anyone that knew what Vince was doing, but that’s hard to prove as Vince likely only shared the more vile details with people that would have approved. My concern is with the public that unless educated see all wrestling as WWE. I mean, we don’t know what was fully shared with who yet. The investigation is still ongoing and the Feds still have Vince’s phone and text records. And we don’t even know if Grant was the only one involved in recent years (especially since the lawsuit with Rita Chatterton was only settled last year and we know that at least involved sexual assault since it never went to court) even though Mark Henry might have inadvertently let out that she isn’t the only one and basically all but said he knew about it and he was someone Vince went out of his way to bury to want him to leave. The public has always known the business is shady from a bare minimum “it’s fake but we’re going to go into all press stuff treating it like it’s real like total dorks” perspective that got the media to treat it lesser until very recently. EDIT: Also if people want to go with the “Everything’s bad, why are we outraged by this one thing?” then you do you but a) people can be annoyed by one thing at a time, especially on a wrestling forum where we talk about wrestling matters and b) the outcome of that mindset is to change or do nothing which again, you do you but I’d rather the biggest wrestling company in the world get called out on its culture and hopefully cause change in the industry rather than letting things go as they are, thanks.

Since netflix has a deal happening with wwe, I can see this portraying only vince as the scumbag, and everybody who is currently working for wwe as innocent and unknowing of the crimes.

There’s some tremendous “Vince rubber stamped something Pat Patterson came up with so I’m loyal to Vince for life” going on in this world.

There’s some tremendous “Vince rubber stamped something Pat Patterson came up with so I’m loyal to Vince for life” going on in this world. Said it before, and I'll say it again, Vince groomed and brainwashed a lot of impressionable young men and women. He taught them to be loyal to him, he was the guy who gave them a job, gave them careers, and an attack on him was an attack on them. That would be a hard pill for anybody to swallow, that the guy who did all that, the one you were loyal to was a complete monster.

If you're hoping for this to be a burial of Paul, you're gonna be seriously disappointed.
(I know people are going to interpret that as licking HHH's boots, but it really isn't. I'm sure some day there will be a video piece that comes for the heads of Paul, Steph, Nick Khan, Prichard, Hayes, and everyone else. It's just not gonna be this one.)

Let's be real here. The guillotine isn't necessarily coming for anyone else _but_ Vince. Paul has his skeletons, but the worst one can accuse Steph of would be "taking orders" from her father. The rest are just business folks doing business things and would continue doing business things under anyone.
Vince is perhaps the last of the true "carnies" in that he was able to hide a _lot_ of stuff under the guise of "rasslin'" long after the other promotions and territories either went away or shrunk to irrelevance. The poison in the industry after the early 1990s was solely his own concoction. All the others after that point, including WCW, were simply serving it up to protect their own interests. It took the Benoit tragedy and, later, the rise of the independent wrestlers making a decent living away from WWE, to start nipping away at the rot in the business - it became a wrestler's market for bookings. Those promotions using the old tricks simply couldn't book these people and moldered away. That's when Vince's grip on the business started to slip.

Everything said there would also be true for Prichard. You have to remember he was in His early twenties when Vince hired him, paid off some of his debts etc.

I do think there is quite a bit of people using this scandal as validation for not liking his booking and/or minimizing his success, but no. You can’t morally defend or minimize Vince’s actions.
