But Pretty Deadly's theme exists. I forgot about them. Add that to one of the few ones I think are good.

But Pretty Deadly's theme exists. Funnily enough, this and a couple others made me think twice about making the thread. Then I remembered the DIY song and hit send. (Crying because mom says we can't go to Disneyland this year) WE ARRRRRRRE, WE ARRRRRRRRE

They need to go back to CFO$ Even if they wanted to, they couldn't. CFO$ actually broke up, and don't work together anymore.

HHH has had some of the most iconic theme songs in wrestling history, so he more than anyone should know how important having a memorable song is.

I honestly was wondering if it was just because I was so out of the loop when it came to WWE as to why the themes seemed so generic.

I'm tired of themes that begin with sirens or the doomsday alarm.

It really is.
I miss CFO$ and Jim Johnston.
It was glaring during the Rumble, it took me sometimes moments to be able to tell who was who. Compared to themes of old where within a second you know who it is.
Which is a pity, because one of my favorite parts of the Rumble match is the surprise entrance theme pop for each entrant.

Too much of it sounds the same to me. One thing I noticed compared to, say, New Gen themes, is that there's a lack of cues before the music proper starts. I think of Bret and Owen having a sort of beat before the song really starts, or the Stone Cold glass break. The cue before the music starts is so important. Even something as simple as Miz's "Awesome" is enough to make it notable.

I'm tired of themes that begin with sirens or the doomsday alarm. What about heavenly choirs? Y’know what? If they’re gonna spam sounds like that, they need to go full send. I want full ‘me playing with my brother’s Yamaha keyboard circa 2002’ themes. Ross from Friends bashing farm animal and doorbell sounds themes. Extreme Paintbrawl Song 1 themes: youtu.be/Fw5Ya2IdDKU?si=w3P3jB6xSxsdq4zI. Just shit that’s so abysmally bad it circles back to being good, rather than just mediocrely bad.

People. Late 80s / early 90s themes SUCKED. I can enjoy a few ironically, but it's mostly forgettable stock-music one-dude-with-a-synthesizer nothing. Anyone's better than Jimmy Hart. I respect your opinion, but I have never disagreed with a post more in the 30 years I've been on the Internet. Yeah, how deep are you thinking, here? Is it possible your view's being overly affected by one or two exceptions? I mean, I don't blame you, check out how forgettable most of this stuff is: This is the stockiest of stock music ever. And hey, I tend to dislike guitar-driven music, so it's not like I think aughts-era stuff is any good, either. But it's still better than this stuff, which sounds like the music for c-list Sage Genesis games. I do want to make one revision, though: looking back through this era, the music credited to Jimmy Hart very definitely has a higher hit rate than the early music credited to Jim Johnson. Hart's the one who does the memorably bonkers or silly themes (like High Energy), and he can even actually get a little funky sometimes (like that kickass Brutus Beefcake theme).

Def Rebel makes me MISS CF0$'s loops
At least they were mostly memorable and I could tell who was coming out, Def Rebel is so f***ing bad, it might be their worst musical composer ever.

I used to be a themer, like I was on a forum for 15 years that shared themes, looked for the rare ones, spent hours editing bits of recordings from shows together to get the clearest versions possible of whatever theme The Corre was using that week.
Now though, my interest has completely died. It's f***ing abysmal that Def Rebel actually get paid for this shit.

I can barely hear them to even be upset.
Seems like the crowd and/or commentary are about the same volume.

Watching the DIY vs Judgement Day match last night and all I could think was just how bad the entrance music for Johnny Wrestling and Tommy Sports Entertainment was. That theme isn't too far from Rob Conway levels of heat killing.
WWE, please get a new theme for those two ASA F***ING P.
