Between Walk Hard so effectively lampooning the genre and Get Back demonstrating how much more interesting documentaries are when it comes to bands, I’m not really seeing the same value in musical biopics other than as Oscar bait.

Yoko was in the Amazon with John when he was researching beetles just before he died.

This could actually be really interesting if done well, as you'd get 4 different perspectives about some of the same time periods and I do like Sam Mendes. Chalk me up as "cautiously optimistic"

hey was actually thinking of this too for a few weeks, having a more general history of the band, and the people behind it

It's like some executive found out that KISS released four solo albums simultaneously and did absolutely no research beyond that fact.

Can't wait for Phase 2 when Paul returns home to find Denny Laine sitting in his living room to tell him he's working on a new team.

I can only imagine(pun intended) how hard the John Lennon one will go to make him look like some visionary prophet as it searches for an Oscar. 😂

My guess: the first one does moderately well at the box office, but nothing overly impressive. The second installment flops. The third and fourth never even get filmed.

can't wait for the movies that just focus on the production crew that worked on the Beatles' songs, their manager, and Ed Sullivan for some reason... all of which never mention or have any of the Fab Four in it.

The Ringo Starr one be mostly post Beatles .. his solo stuff, his attempt at becoming a movie star by being in such movies like Caveman, Son of Dracula, and Blind Man. And of course narrating Thomas the Tank Engine

Im curious how far into their lives the bio pics will go, part of me feels it would just go up to the break up and then you get a wall of text of what happened after. But if they could do that scene of John and Paul re-uniting in LA during John's "Lost Weekend" that would be cool to see play out in a film, as that bootleg of that is fascinating to listen to even if most of it is John yelling at the sound guy running the board.
Should do a "Scene Missing" joke of either John or Ringo hanging with Nilsson, where Harry meets up with them goes "what should we do?" and then get "scene missing" and then you just see John or Ringo wake up and like 4 days have passed, which is very much what time with Harry Nilsson was like back then.

Huge Beatles fan. But four movies seem like a little much. And I bet none of them will delve into how they ripped off Clarence Walker.

I'm hoping that the first 3 are all normal and then Ringos is like a goofy slapstick comedy.
