A lot can be (and has been) said about Virgil, but as others have pointed out here, he did his job to perfection. I ALWAYS wanted to see him get dropped when he’d interfere in a match, and him finally standing up to Dibiase is a highlight reel moment from my childhood as a wrestling fan.
This is way too young, and no one deserves dementia. May he enter the pearly gates and find an endless supply of meat sauce.

Odds on him getting to the pearly gates and immediately saying “Want autograph? 25 bucks!” Dude, I wouldn't be surprised if people have to pay to attend his funeral.

Another Wrestler from the Golden Era that is no longer with us. I know Virgil may not have had the best of reputations later in his life but this sucks. Also another former NWO guy no longer with us. Rest in Peace.

No way. 😮
I knew he was unwell and he had his own ‘characteristics’, but 61 is no age. Very sad news. Sleep well, Virgil.

Damn RIP to Mike Jones I was happy to see him get a few AEW appearances during the early days Odds on him getting to the pearly gates and immediately saying “Want autograph? 25 bucks!” Dude, I wouldn't be surprised if people have to pay to attend his funeral. I hope they somehow falsely advertise if you go to Virgil's funeral you'll also get to see Million Dollar Man Ted Dibase get buried too. But seriously I need to go re-listen to Virgil's episode of Art of Wrestling now

Outside of the Genius Virgil has to be the guy that made the most money by doing the least amount of work. LMAO
The build and turn on DiBiase was an awesome angle and very well done. Virgil was always a favorite of mine with that ridiculous pink fake tuxedo. lol

I think about that story with the two fans who are going to wrestlemania 30 and end up sharing a hotel room/flight with him pretty much weekly. The story ending with them trying to get away from his endless talking… While tons of other people are surrounding Virgil to hang out with him and Ric Flair is in the other corner with no one talking to him?
That is a some of the funniest shit I’ve ever read, wrestling or not. I’m not denying there was something wrong with the guy even before the diagnosis or he was some saint just because he passed but he was often extremely funny.
RIP

Virgil will go on record as the first person who crossed the river Styx and had Charon pay him instead.

My Dad has recently been showing more and more worrying signs of dementia and it's breaking my heart.
It's a f***ing horrendous disease I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Virgil has gone to the great convention of the sky, where he'll get unlimited soup & salad and as many breadsticks as he so desires for all eternity. RIP Virgil!
