Hacksaw has a picture with him on FB, and they both look genuinely happy. I hope he has peace.

Virgil always fit in somewhere on the card. For that, he deserves respect. RIP!

I had no idea he was quite young still. Sad news. I have fond memories of him in early nineties.

My dad once saw him playing dice at a casino. He thought about getting me his autograph, but it looked like he was on a hot streak and my dad didn’t want to jinx it. So no autograph for me. RIP

Damn this is sad. I always liked him and think he should have been pushed a bit more. RIP

Met him personally at my local mall years ago. Had no clue he was there, was genuinely surprised to see THE Virgil and THE Virgil Stand just... there lol We talked for quite awhile, and he was genuinely a nice guy when I met him, told a lot of stories and was genuinely open and happy to be there. He didn't even need to talk me into buying an autographed picture I imagine both WWE and AEW will give him regards/tributes on their shows this week. RIP to a guy who say what you will, knew how to make a lasting impression.

If you measure their impact purely on how loud their loudest pop was, then going by the reaction to him twatting DiBiase with the Million Dollar Belt, he made one hell of an impact.
RIP

He was a good stooge heel and underdog face, and I liked his AEW appearances.
Dementia sucks.
RIP Virgil.

RIP to an incredible and memorable character in his prime.
And holy smokes, so many Virgil stories out there. Most of them fun though. And I didn't know Sam Roberts coined the lonely Virgil meme.
I read his wikipedia article and that Jim Neidhart feud on the indies was wild. Holy cow.

RIP Virgil, you'll definitely be missed.
I always wanted to see a picture of him pointing at an Olive Garden sign like it was a WrestleMania sign.

RIP Virgil. I was rewatching so many of the RRs leading up to this year's event and I forgot how HUGE that pop was when he nailed DiBiase with the Million Dollar Belt. If you could bottle that and sell it, you'd be a trillionaire.

Wow. Rip. Apparently he was 72 and not 61? Everywhere lists him as 61. I know I can't trust Sportskeedia and wish they referenced it, but their article mentioned his "sister said he was 72" so that's why I am confused.

It's all fun and games until the muscle man is in the studio.
