Normally I don't do the PPV ones, but someone's gotta for this one for sure!

Iconic and perfect, just like the Stinger himself. Hats and glass sheets off to the Icon, you earned every bit of your retirement you crazy old bastard.
10/10. New favorite AEW PPV.

Truly as good a PPV as Iâve seen in my nearly 30 years as a wrestling fan. The highest possible 10 I can give.
I donât even particularly care that Stingâs speech got âcut offâ because 1) it perfectly captured the beautiful chaos that was one of the most brilliant careers in an industry thereâs ever been and 2) itâs the perfect opportunity for Young Bucks shenanigans on Wednesday claiming that they were responsible.
Ospreay/Takeshita was as good a straight up singles match as I can ever remember watching too, although that feels sort of secondary to that main event.

Give it a 10/10 because with time this show's legacy will just continue to grow.

Easily a 9.5 or 10. Lot of matches I didnât really care about, but I canât say there was a bad one in the lot. Even the scramble match was alright. I saw Alvarez dogging on the womens title match, but it was kind of a nice break to have a match w/o a million false-finishes.
Danielson/Eddie was incredible. Great producing in the triple threat title match. The main event delivered and they stuck the landing. I hope Meltzerâs okay after watching Takeshita and Ospreay.
BIG ups to the crowd. Did not let up and it was a long night.

The only thing I was down on, and I'll use that loosely, was Deonna and Toni. Revolution continues to be AEW's premier PPV. Takeshita vs Ospreay is the second best match in Revolution history.
10/10

Best PPV since All Out 2021 and it might even surpass that the more I think about it. Easy 10/10.

The only downsides were the 8 man being sloppy, FTR/BCC being kinda flat just in existing, the Deonna/Toni match being super flat, and Sting getting cut off, but the like sheer love in which they handled Sting's last match makes this a 10/10 show for me in spite of the weak middle. Ospreay/Takeshita was also f***ing insane, Danielson/Kingston was A+++ and Christian/Garcia and the world title triple threat ruled as well.

9. The Sting stuff was perfect, but the Toni/Deonna match wasnât great and the scramble was kind of a mess. I still tend to think AEW shows are too long and tonight was a good example of why. That said, still a great time watching it live.

10 - might be the best PPV in AEW history. It's in the discussion at least.

10. Not gonna fault the company for providers f***ing up Sting's speech.
To me the two weakest matches were the scramble and Toni/Deona, and even those were mostly fun. Legit might be the best AEW ppv yet.

A low 9. The world title and main event matches really brought up the card that, for me, was floating at a low 7, high 6 for most of the show.

I don't throw 10's around very often but this was completely deserving.
A complete card from top to bottom with something for everyone. Technical wrestling, hardcore wrestling, multi-man madness, sports-entertainment drama, character building, six star classics, solid tag team work...everything came together perfectly tonight.
So much to say so I'll keep it concise. Daniel Garcia is massively improved. Eddie Kingston is very well deserving of his current popularity. Takeshita and Ospreay both belong in the main event. Toni Storm has one of the greatest characters going. Swerve, Hangman and Joe belong in the main event. Darby, you're a madman. Bucks, you're the biggest heels out there.
And, from the time I was little, cheering him on while he battled the nWo...Sting is THE legend. The ultimate, ultimate babyface. What a final run, what a final match, and what a way to go. Thank you, Stinger.

Honestly gonna go with 10 just for how AEW sent off my all time favorite wrestler and the man that got me into wrestling in the first place, but we'll get to that in a second.
The only thing that the crowd really didn't seem super into was a still very good women's title match. Crowd even surprised me being fairly hyped for Roddy vs OC. Crowd was hot and everybody delivered. Love the story they're doing with Swerve/Hangman/Joe.
Takeshita/Ospreay may have been the best damn wrestling match I've ever seen. Yeah he's a knob, but Billy GOAT got erm... goated tonight.
And for Sting. He was able to come back from a horrific neck injury and end his career on his terms... and what was Sting's terms? Teaming with Darby Allin. If Sting wanted to he very easily could have had a singles run and been wrestling the likes of Jericho, Mox, whoever he wanted, but instead he knew his limitations and he decided he wanted to finish his career being a crazy deathmatch wrestler and being in the ring with the likes of 2.0 and Daniel Garcia pre JAS, Ethan Page, Scorpio Sky, Ricky Starks, Brian Cage, ect. Sting was highlighted and was given his flowers without detracting from the show. Hell up until the retirement announcement I'd argue that Sting made sure that Darby was the star of their team. Sting got to go out in WCW country, in front of his friends and family, and be treated like the hero his peers always hyped him to be... and it was tough not to shed a tear.
Just a perfect way to end a career.

How you aren't mentioning Ospreay vs Takeshita is beyond me, but that match really deserves its flowers too imo It was fine. Takeshita did look great, so much so I'm ready for him to move away from the Callis Family. I felt like so much of the match was a transparent "this is what you do to have a 5* match" pitch. I'm just not super keen on Ospreay. First thing of his I ever saw was him was video of him dropping Omega on his head from last year's Forbidden Door show. So he already had go away heat from me. Next thing of his I saw was the Wembley match with Jericho, which I don't even remember. And I don't think he's a good promo, those times I've seen him on TV try to talk, so Ospreay's got a lot to do to get over with me. Though the sick bump Ospreay took on the buckle just raises so many questions about how much of a dumbass in kayfabe Don Callis is for putting this match together in the first place. "Let me put my two top guys in a match together, oops, one of them just got really f***ed up by the other guy." Way to f*** your stable over, guy.

It was good, I didn't care about the FTR match and I could have done without Ospreay but I enjoyed everything else. The 8 man was a mess but an entertaining one.
Main event was insane, Darby stop đđ

9/10:
The majority of it wax really good to great.
My critiques were:
-The scramble match was just, ok.
-The Womenâs Title Match was underwhelming given the build and the booking was VERY predictable.
-TK needs to learn when to just capitalize when talent are white hot.
