Would’ve been a 9 owing to the FTR match (though it did give me a break to run errands at least) but Ospreay vs Takeshita, and everything about the main event, pushes it to a 10. Fantastic show.

Reading through some recaps of the show, it seems they didn’t try to make every match an epic, 20-25 minute 5-star encounter so that means it probably flowed a lot better than some of the PPVs I’ve seen in the past where you just get exhausted.
As far as 4-star plus matches, which would you say hit that mark? The review I read with star ratings only had Ospreay-Takeshita and the main event hitting that mark but I’d imagine a lot of people would also add Bryan-Kingston to that list.

If you only had time to watch three matches from the show, you should watch the main event, Ospreay/Takeshita, Eddie and Danielson. The scramble and women's matches weren't great, but everything else hit that "wow, this is a f***ing great Dynamite match" level but the three matches I mentioned above were wild.

I think this ppv had the most consistently highly rated matches out of all of their ppvs. Which should make it their best ever. But something about All In 2021 just hit so good

10/10. Not a single bad match on the card, one of the biggest feel-good endings ever, amazing storytelling in the world title match, a classic war between Eddie and Danielson, and even if I'm not as huge on Ospreay's "5-star formula" matches as others are, but it still makes for a really fun spotfest, which will always have a place in wrestling.
Pretty much one of AEW's best ever shows. Hopefully they can maintain this kind of momentum.

10/10. Perfection. Even the 8 man meat match that I didn't really care about wasn't awful. Everything else delivered.
Ospreay vs Takeshita was up there with the best pro wrestling matches I have ever watched in my life.
Sting got the send off he deserved. It was perfect.

We'll see where Darby goes from here (after he returns from his time off right after this big storyline and massive spot). The best thing about Sting going out without a loss is that he didn't job to the Young Bucks. He wouldn't have "jobbed" to The Young Bucks Sick of the forced Young Bucks hate, they gave Sting everything tonight and then some, they've more than earned their respect. It's wonderful that you respect them. I'm sure they appreciate it.

I went with an 8. Great ppv but some matches to me did not deliver.
Christian vs Garcia was a good match but maybe I expected more? This could be my own expectations but it was serviceable. Danielson vs Kingston was awesome. It was more technical than I expected but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe I wanted a bit more of a brawl between these two. Scramble match was a disaster. All 4 of the "smaller" guys seemed off this entire match. The match was sfun when it was the 4 big guys going at it. That is what the match should have been only but maybe add Brody King and maybe one other instead. So much of this match did not make sense and seemed pointless with the small guys. I am a Jericho fan but what was the point of him being in this? The fog machine spot was so poorly executed. OC vs Strong was enjoyable BCC vs FTR was a very good tag team match. I love Mox and Claudio but have a hard time getting into FTR now. If this match wasn't on the card I would not have missed it. Women's match was the worst of the show. I could not go above 2 stars. Ospreay vs Takashita was amazing. Wow!!!!!! Match of the year no doubt so far. Hangman vs Swerve vs Joe was also so so good. I assume Hangman is going to be suspended for beating up the ref to give him some time off Sting's final match was beyond epic. I gave it 5 stars because of what they did, the story they told and the emotion. Big props to the Young Bucks for making Sting look like a monster at his age.
To me the last 3 matches saved this ppv for being a 5 to an 8. One thing I think Tony needs to work on better is the match order. The last 3 matches are such high energy and you know are going to be show stealers so revolve the card around that and give time to breath. I would have done the match order as
1) Danielson vs Kingston 2) Moxley/Claudio vs FTR... have Mox and Kingston come face to face during the entrance 4) Christian vs Garcia 4) Ospreay vs Takashita 5) The scramble match 6) Strong vs OC 7) Women's match 8) Hangman vs Joe vs Swerve 9) Sting's last match
This way you break it up and the next match does not really have any similarity to style and pace as the previous.

8. The main event, Takeshita v Ospreay & Eddie v Bryan were fantastic. OC v Strong was also pretty damn good. The rest was just ok. The 8 man had great spots but was overall a mess. Garcia should have beaten Christian. While the finish was great I am done with BCC v FTR. Yawn.

I often give 9s on the basis there was nothing special enough to bump it up to full marks so on that basis this is of course a 10.
Even if I could nitpick that Garcia vs Christian was basically just a collision match and the women were disappointing. Why build Deonna’s technical skills and then barely use them, at least for any real story telling purpose. They were still ok though. The scramble was actually bad, if you can’t do logic at least keep it fast paced enough to make it less noticeable, the smaller guys sitting out the start of the match was so dumb.
Everything else was like a conscious effort to fix what I didn’t like between all-in and the cc tournament. Aew is much better with a strong focus on the tag division, Takeshita actually wrestling and using the gap between ppvs to build well. The title match and Eddie vs Danielson both benefited hugely from having strong stories told over a long time so didn’t have to be rushed for a ppv squeezed in last month. Even ftr were enjoyable.
And Sting’s farewell was near perfectly done.

10 from me.
I too will echo the sentiment that was one of the strongest top to bottom cards that AEW has put on in quite some time, making sure that every style of modern wrestling was well represented and capped off with a feel good match/moment that put a capper on Sting's iconic in ring career.

Crowd was hot. Matches were good to great. Sting is an Icon.
That's a 10.
I bought the show to enjoy the show, I enjoyed the show tremendously. The story of the Kingston/Danielson match was so daggone good (with the touch of Danielson focusing on the hand he'd have to shake if he lost as if even in defeat he'd be hurting Eddie). Osprey/Takeshita was a spectacle of absolute wizardry in a wrestling ring. Sting got to be a daggone superhero and it was an absolute delight to see it in such a shocking fashion (How do we top Osprey/Takeshita nearly killing each other? Well...I got an idea...).
Christian/Garcia was a great little opener with the only downside being the Roman Reigns like ending that tends to end every big WWE PPV, so starting off an AEW one with it kind of made me laugh. But the match. What a fun story to make sure you know Garcia is the up and comer. THEY MANAGED TO GET THE CROWD TO CHEER JUST FROM GARCIA GETTING INTO THE RING! They literally had a "I have the high ground!" segment ending with Garcia having to climb over the top rope and get a higher position than Christian to get the advantage to get in the ring. I loved it. I hope they do it again and Garcia gets his big win when Edge is able to cut off interference (Daddy Magic took out Killswitch, but Garcia needed one more friend for optimal victory conditions).
Orange Cassidy did a great job in his match. I don't particularly care for Strong so...eh, on that but title changes are fun and exciting for what it may bring down the road.
Toni Storm's gimmick isn't built for a "I miss my friend" story yet since the crowd is still enamored with it. I kind of wish they would've built Deonna for the next PPV, but they'll be hotshotting a belt to Mercedes as quickly as possible, most likely.
I really liked the story of "Swerve and Hangman want to beat each other to win the belt and Joe is not having this disrespect," with the added bonus of Hangman tapping just to deny THE MAN WHO BROKE INTO HIS HOME the possibility of being the first African American AEW Champion. Hangman beating down a couple refs sold that frustration amazingly...even if I'm an idiot who would've loved a third ref running down, going to make a count for Swerve, making eye contact with Hangman, and then just running back up the ramp.
The tag match started off slow for me but by the end, I was enjoying it. Didn't really have a horse in the race but the ending was a surprise.
The Scramble was decent chaos that ended up rather sloppy. I felt so daggone bad for Dante Martin who was so close to another breakout performance but fate kept clipping his wings. I know AEW wants that Wardlow momentum, but I want the Will Hobbs Power Hour already. So good seeing Lance Archer causing chaos, though. Brian Cage and Magnus looked good, too, despite being window dressing for the match. Jericho's Jericho (though the dual Lionsaults with Magnus looked cool). I'd like to see him away from Hobbs, but I'd also like to see Hobbs away from Callis.
I am a cheap person. If I'm spending $50, it better be worth it...and this was more than worth it. Amazing show.

It's wonderful that you respect them. I'm sure they appreciate it. I don't really get why you have to be snide towards them at all They gave Sting an incredible sendoff, they gave him everything, and your one comment is you're glad he didn't "job" to them They're great talents and they're unselfish ones at that and have proven it time and again just to continue to get these backhands, idk, it bugs me personally, especially when you try to make it a thing that I respect them, it's off-putting to say the least.

10 without a shadow of a doubt, amazing PPV, apart from Toni/Deonna being a bit nothingy and the All Star match being a bit messy (but still entertaining) I thought everything else varied from very good to utterly amazing. Ospreay/Takeshita was MOTN and will be up there for MOTY, just a sensational match, but I enjoyed the main event just as much due to the emotional value and drama, not to mention the spots, the glass ones in particular, was genuinely a bit scared for Darby when I saw how much he was bleeding. Thought the world title match was perfectly booked, Kingston/Danielson was outstanding just as their other meetings have been, FTR/BCC was amazing and both mid card title matches were really good too, think the TNT would have been elevated by Garcia winning though. Was also great to see O'Reilly back and loved Mariah coming out dressed as Toni.
Think it was maybe a big debut away from being seen as AEW's undisputed best ever show but it's right up there with the best I've ever seen.

Bought myself the replay even though I couldn't see it live. Belated birthday present for myself.
Bottom of the card was good if not great. Kinda surprised that Toni Storm vs Deonna Purrazzo wasn't that good. Though I did appreciate Mariah May's retro Toni cosplay. Good opener between Garcia and Christian. Danielson vs Eddie was excellent. Scramble was kind of a mess but in a mostly fun way. BCC vs FTR was great and I loved Mox and Claudio's Road Warriors/Legion of Doom-inspired entrance gear.
It was great seeing Kyle O'Reilly back. Though I thought he was Kenny Omega at first and I got really excited before realizing it was Kyle lol.
Takeshita vs Ospreay was even better than I expected and I had pretty high expectations. Those two put on a classic and I want to see them run it back. So many amazing counters and reversals at that pace. Easy, early MOTY candidate.
Title match was solid, and I was amused by how far Hangman's "f*** Swerve" alignment would take him. As much as I want Swerve to win, I think it would've been overshadowed by a lot on this show. So it was the right call for Joe to retain.
Then there's the main event. This was really emotional for me. Loved seeing Sting's sons dress up as American Surfer and nWo Wolfpac Sting. As much as I like his regular AEW theme, it was incredible hearing him come out to "Seek And Destroy." The Bucks were the perfect foil to Sting and Darby and I popped when they superkicked Flair after the match. That glass spot Darby did was f***ing insane. As much as I loved it, I hope I never see it again lol. Genuinely surprised Sting and Darby won given the tradition of "going out on your back" in DIS BUSINESS. But if anyone deserves to win their retirement match, it's the Icon.
All of that considered, I'm giving Revolution a 10. Was it perfect? No. But I don't give a 10 based on perfection, but how much I liked a show and how memorable it was. And there was a ton that was memorable even outside of the main event. Amazing, amazing show, though bittersweet knowing it was Sting's last one. Best one AEW's done since All Out 2021.

Did not blow me away, but a solid 8 from me. The ME, Ospreay/Takeshita, and OC/Strong were great, everything else was kinda there.

Keep in mind I haven't watched weekly since the last PPV so I'm outta the loop.
Christian vs. Sexy Dancin' Danny G: This was an okay match, but not one I was super into. I ended up counting the number of times Nigel said "Chris-tee-an Cage". Yes I know it's his accent. It makes me chuckle. I don't know if I would have opened the show with this match.
Kingston vs. Danielson: Solid match, wasn't bored. Still don't like the powerbomb as a finisher for Eddie when you have Wardlow there doing it better.
8-Man Scramble: I didn't like this one. I'm glad Wardlow got to show his athleticism (as I hoped he would). This should have just been him vs. Hobbs. vs. Cage vs. Archer in a 4 Meaty Man Meat Match. Would've been a LOT better. Wardlow needs to figure his hair out. It's even worse than last time. Just grow it back out, and rediscover your Samson.
OC vs. Roddy: Roddy has a moustache. Ew. I adore how OC sells. I want to see him vs. Ilja one day. That would break the sell-o-meter. Seeing as how I haven't watched I don't know how Undisputed Kingdom is being received. I assume they needed this win. MARKED OUT HARD for Kyle coming back. I love Kyle. I'm glad he's able to return.
FTR vs. Moxley/Claudio: I tried fam. I really tried. I got bored, and went and ate some girl scout cookies in the kitchen. FTR are FTR, and I find Mox insufferable as a character. Moxwinslol? Yes, Moxwinslol. Yes I'm being petty.
Toni Storm vs. Deonna: Has Deonna regressed since I saw her in Impact? I expected a LOT more out of this match. It began fine enough, but never clicked into another gear. This was a let down.
Takeshita vs. Ospreay: Holy hell holy hell holy hell. That is all.
Joe vs. Swerve vs. Hangman: I ADORE batshit crazy Hangman. I may need to go back and watch highlights of his transformation. I take back what I said about moustaches. It works for kinda heel Hangman. The crowd was booing him! That was nuts. Very solid match. Protected Swerve, Hanger looked like a f***ing crazy man trying to keep the title off of Swerve. Good stuff.
Darby/Sting vs. The Young Bucks: Got emotional during the opening video package (I was a kid who grew up with Surfer Sting to now). Fun match. Darby. Please. Stop. You Won't. But Please. Had to catch the rest of Sting's speech on YT. Got misty eyed again.
An okay show. Certainly not AEW's strongest PPV, I would give it a solid 8. The last match and Konosuke vs. Will are carrying the load on that score.

Hangman was fantastic on this. Went under the radar a bit with everything that happened on the shoe. He proper dialed in his character and was superb in ring. That moonsault into tombstone spot was awesome. Really delivered in ring
