How you aren't mentioning Ospreay vs Takeshita is beyond me, but that match really deserves its flowers too imo It was fine. Takeshita did look great, so much so I'm ready for him to move away from the Callis Family. I felt like so much of the match was a transparent "this is what you do to have a 5* match" pitch. I'm just not super keen on Ospreay. First thing of his I ever saw was him was video of him dropping Omega on his head from last year's Forbidden Door show. So he already had go away heat from me. Next thing of his I saw was the Wembley match with Jericho, which I don't even remember. And I don't think he's a good promo, those times I've seen him on TV try to talk, so Ospreay's got a lot to do to get over with me. Though the sick bump Ospreay took on the buckle just raises so many questions about how much of a dumbass in kayfabe Don Callis is for putting this match together in the first place. "Let me put my two top guys in a match together, oops, one of them just got really f***ed up by the other guy." Way to f*** your stable over, guy. One accident making you hate a wrestler immediately is... a choice, given the dude's body of work well before this not ever hurting people, and Omega was fine. I would recommend watching other matches of his, and I don't think this match was transparent at all it was just two dudes who are good at what they do showing why they are. And Don wanted to prove his family has the best wrestlers and I can't say he failed tonight... though if it sows tension for breakups that also works for later

Dude, I don't wanna start anything here but... this is super annoying.

You don't want to start anything but you'll dig through my post history from months back to use something against me when I'm simply counterarguing your points on a wrestler. Good try trying to be nice, didn't exactly work. Have a nice night yourself.

10/10. Every match was good and Sting got a great match to go out on.

Scramble match stunk and Toni continues to really underwhelm on PPVs, but doesn't matter at all given the rest of the PPV and the amazing ending so 10/10.

Perfect show. No notes. Well, the title contender match was kinda clunky. Other than that, it was perfect. 2nd half of the show was beyond perfect.

10.
Toni/Deonna had a 0% chance of being good, so I won’t let that bring my score down. A perfect ending for Sting.

I'm giving this a 10 on the fact Sting retired with a win alone. The fact said win was an amazing god damn match to cap off a night full of amazing god damn matches? Cherry on top.

I've felt like AEW's been in a funk for a while, but damn was tonight a great show. 10/10.

Not everything hit the mark for me - Zero hour was your basic tv matches, I still don't care about Strong & his goons, I still struggle with Kingston not having a non-sloppy finisher (especially with Wardlow hitting a much more convincing and impactful powerbomb finish in the very next match), I'm still underwhelmed by Deonna (but that's on me and on commentary overhype in general : when people are selling me on a virtuoso technical wrestler/wizard/professor, male or female, I'm kinda expecting a near-Zack Saber Jr-level competitor, so i'm always kinda underwhelmed when they end up being just a solid wrestler with an okay submission finisher), and the Sting retrospective felt (quite deliberately) very incomplete - but when the show clicked, it really clicked, and was memorable. A strong 8.

I'd rank that show a 10. That is possibly AEW's best show ever. My only issues were the Toni/Deonna match/feud and the glass spots. Sting going out on top is a big arguable, but it's what the fans wanted, and AEW gave it to them.
Also, does anyone else find it a bit odd that Sting came in as the oldest of old vets to help this hot new promotion and never lost a f***ing match?

Just got back from the show, everything after it went off the air was great. I hope it gets released somewhere.
Crowd was absolutely on fire for everything except Toni/Deonna. Best and loudest crowd I’ve been in since Wrestlemania 30.

Mainly Darby We'll see where Darby goes from here (after he returns from his time off right after this big storyline and massive spot). The best thing about Sting going out without a loss is that he didn't job to the Young Bucks.

A low 9. The world title and main event matches really brought up the card that, for me, was floating at a low 7, high 6 for most of the show. How you aren't mentioning Ospreay vs Takeshita is beyond me, but that match really deserves its flowers too imo Because they didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else did? Everyone likes different things

First PPV I've bought in a while. I missed the first 2 matches (and most of the 3rd) but I will rewatch later.
Worth it just for Stings match alone.
However, all the matches delivered on some level.
I didn't expect to like BCC/FTR as much as I did as I'm all FTR'd out, but it was a banger.
The 3 way for the title served it's purpose as it made for some more character development for Hangman and Swerve. And I will say it's a good look to have Joe retain.
The Women's World title match was decent enough, but I'm still all in on the "Timeless" gimmick so why not?
I think I needed a cigarette after that Ospreay/Takeshita match. Holy hell.
All in all I'd rate it a 10.

Everyone likes different things I know, just thought it deserved the nod too personally, was on a high from that match alone for awhile.
