“Games over boys…Wormer dropped the big one”
The simple fact that after years of accepting I’d never see Okada in person unless I got lucky and the stars aligned for me to go to one of these big crossover forbidden door shows at great expense there is now a VERY REAL possibility that a month from now I’ll see him in some capacity in my (metaphorical) backyard (April 10 Dynamite In Charleston bay bay!) - and I’ve already got my tickets (pre sales are great like that.)
f***. Y’all….we eatin REAL good in 2024.

I haven’t seen much of Okada’s work (obviously know who he is) so looking forward to seeing him in action. Immediate feud with Kingston is a good idea, especially if they want to get him over as a heel. Kingston is beloved so Okada beating him is going to get heat.

Okay this was in the "80's Druglord Bucks" thread back in January. I don't want to fantasy book this too much because I have no clue where he ends up. But can you imagine the singles wrestler the Bucks bringing in on their side being Okada? I wonder if I should play the lottery tomorrow lol.

The fact AEW set up Ospreay vs Danielson, Okada vs Kingston, and then potentially Okada vs Omega for later alone on one show is just...
God we are SO BACK lmfao

Honestly, one of my favorite choices AEW has ever made. Bringing in the same old Okada would've been so easy and I'd understand it but this is so much better for me. I've complained that he's been beyond stale for years so I'm all for this.

I've complained that he's been beyond stale for years so I'm all for this. I wonder if it was a reason Okada went to AEW too Like in WWE I assume he would have just been the same old Okada, which like, no one would have REALLY complained about, but AEW's not afraid to bring him in as a douchebag heel, let him out of his comfort zone, with his friends I think a big thing for him was staying in Japan with his family inevitably, but being more loose in creative might've been another I needed to see more Heel Okada after we got a taste of it in those recent NOAH appearances and I'm glad he's embraced it lol

I'm so excited for this, it's one of those signings I've been daydreaming about ever since it was rumored.

I often complain about "Okada formula" in his matches. But him against Kenny in the G1 (no slow start, just all action), against Shibata (that was more Shibata's style than his), or against ZSJ (which was more technical based) are some of my favorite matches of his. The same goes for him being an aggressive douche against Kiyomiya last year. Hell, he even had one of my favorite outings against Kojima a few years ago because he leaned into the cocky heel persona. Give me more of that.

I've complained that he's been beyond stale for years so I'm all for this. I thought the Kaito stuff early last year was the freshest he had been in a while but then after it died it went back to sort of same old stuff, so yeah I definitely approve. Especially because the best stuff out of that was him being an aggressive asshole.
