So Dynamite started with the seal of the completed double turn. Swerve went out there and accepted that he's been a piece of shit, but if people are gonna root for him he may as well not let them down. I kinda like that this is where they took things. I know some people have a problem with him suddenly being a face. I just don't think there's any way you can keep the crowd from going wild for him. He's a star and everybody knows it.

In all seriousness this seems like a very smart move, going through Joe vs Wardlow early for next week and paving the way for Swerve to potentially get the shot, and the big potential win at Dynasty, seems like a smart move to set AEW up for a hot world title summer run into potentially Wembley.
Guess we'll see how it all plays out but so far, it seems very good and that Swerve is still on the path to gold

A whole lot of things came together organically to make him work as a mega-face. The in-ring style, the presentation, the match quality, the manager, and above all: the goal that people can root for. "First black AEW champion" is something people can get behind in a way that makes it easy to ignore the storylines, because there's a shoot element to it that's worth rooting for.
It probably speaks to how stuff like the home invasion is a dicey proposition in wrestling even if it's supposed to be a heel action. Wrestlers turn based on audience reaction, and the reaction is based on so many factors that aren't strict adherence to what the characters have done in the story. Even as much as AEW crowds have mostly played along as long as the story is good, there's just too much about Swerve to buy into that I think audiences reached a limit on humoring his role.

Swerve as a babyface feels like a natural move, but sooner rather than later, they will need to address how this affects Prince Nana and the Mogul Embassy, since they still come off as heel characters, though the dance does feel like it's a big part of the whole package.

It’s kinda interesting they’ve slotted in Swerve and Will Ospreay firmly as faces, but both are tied to heel groups (Swerve with Mogul Embassy and Ospreay with the Don Callis Family).

Can someone tell me why WWE released this guy? I feel like he just got lumped in with a pool of people who were really green and no one bothered to look at Serve's individual work.
This guy is just dripping in talent and charisma.

This guy is just dripping in talent and charisma. This is nearly a universal reaction. Really seems like he was too small for Vince and too...something...for Trips.

Has there been something so detrimental to so many people's careers than Hit Row? I actually B-Fab also has a lot of talent, but just looked terrible being associated with that group.

This guy is just dripping in talent and charisma. That's exactly what happened. Nobody bothered to look at Swerve's individual work, they legit thought that TOP DOLLA would be the singles star of that group.

This guy is just dripping in talent and charisma. One of the biggest dropped balls of maybe their last 20 years at least Dude had it all, and has it all still if not even more then when he was there. But Vince AND HHH saw Top Dolla as a star over him, for some reason Hit Row collapsed without him, and now the only one who might even be worth a damn by the end of it all is B-Fab. He made the group, he could have and should have been a star there... very much their loss has been AEW's gain.

I think Swerve refusing to use Nana's crown at Revolution was a good stepping stone.

I can see swerve being a good face, but the way it happened is just weird lol. Swerve goes to Hangman’s baby and then Hangman becomes the heel? The second part is more so what is bothersome lol
